Holds up to heavy sparks from grinders!
Most durable laces that can still be tied well enough that I have ever seen!Lasted over two years of heavy sparks and even occasional molten metal from use as a steel pipe fitter/fabricator. Normal cheap laces last a month or two, "durable" laces and the original laces that come with the name brand timberland boots last 3-5 months, these lasted over two years and more than paid in the difference in cost. Still they failed in the same way, dry rot and failure in the underside which never got cleaned but zero damage from sparks so they far outlasted everything. To give an idea of the abuse, my $190 timberland boots only last 12-16 months and my full leather apron to block the sparks at my stomach only lasts a year so these things can clearly take abuse. Worth the money for me most definitely. The main con is the cost, really unless your dealing with sparks or mud these arent worth your money in my opinion, but some people really need laces that can handle sparks and weld slpatter and these work for that surprizingly well. The only real con beyond the cost is the stiffness, they are more difficult to tie but I learned an effective way to tie it with little risk of untieing and easy untieing later. Single underloop to start basically the way most teach to tie shoes, then single bunny ear and pull the otherside all the way through (dont make two ears at the same time, just one), then bunny ear the other side as a double tie and get it very tight. The first bunny ear tightens to the shoe and the second ear tightens to the first ear. This way never has come untied unless the string was left too long and got stepped on, actually these get tighter than conventional laces only doing this way specifically but releasing isnt an issue since pulling the correct string will pull out one loop then pull the other and its untied. The laces do require a very tight tie to not come untied, but doing the separate single bunny ears as described allows for a very tight tie without the shoe itself being too tight. Dunno why but tieing the bunny ears together for a double tie does not stay tied since they are too stiff, and only doing the bunny ears for a single tie as normally taught for tennis shoes doesnt stay either. And this style isnt as effective with normal laces as with these laces either, im on my feet for 10-12 hours a day in these climbing over stuff and climbing inside of pipe and never came untied unless the release string was pulled. Yet my thin laces on my tennis shoes never stayed tied with this tieing style. If you need laces that can handle sparks and can figure out a tie for them since they are thicker these are very highly recommended!

Worth every penny
I work at a power plant and was constantly snapping the laces on my work boots from the friction of tying them tight. I’d have to change my laces twice a year at least. Tried these laces and they’ve outlasted the leather on two different work boots over two years. Only reason I ever buy more is if I need longer laces for different boots. I work outside a lot and with pretty harsh chemicals and it’s incredibly hard on the boots which is why the leather gets destroyed. But these laces are so good. I wanted to keep my current pair going but I needed longer ones for my new boots. Absolutely worth the money. I keep the worn ones as backups for when coworkers snap their laces.

Tough enough for farm use!
I love these laces. I got a couple pairs of custom heavy duty boots with leather laces and the laces kept wearing out. Replaced with these and they are tough and rigid enough to hold in place when laced. My boots no longer come undone and the laces haven’t broken or even look worn after a year of hard farm use.

Really good Kevlar laces... but beware they bleed color like crazy! Definitely rinse first.
Other reviews are definitely correct... these DO fade and bleed color! A LOT.I just received them and took them out of the pack, and immediately rinsed them in the sink (hot water, then with soap, and then rinsed with water again, before finally running them through a pinched towel). The photos speak for themselves! I have no doubt they'll hold up, being kevlar laces and seemingly really good quality, but they definitely bleed color -- and I didn't want that transferring to newly purchased leather boots, thus the "pre wash". They're now a slightly lighter color due to that, but at least my new boots won't suffer the same fate as that water did. I have them hanging up air drying now, and then they'll go into my new work boots.Thickness seems on par with the factory thorogood laces that I'll be swapping out.All in all, I'm happy with how these will seemingly hold up -- based on first impressions and more so the vast amount of pleased reviews. Time will ultimately tell, but I have high hopes. Deducting one star due to the color bleed, as I've never seen brand new shoe laces bleed so much... but that shouldn't effect anything other than slight appearance (lighter color).

Built to Last
These bootlaces are incredibly strong and live up to the “unbreakable” claim. I’ve used them daily on my work boots and they haven’t frayed, stretched, or loosened once. They stay tied all day and hold up in every kind of weather. Definitely worth the upgrade if you’re tired of replacing laces.

Last laces you'll need
These really are indestructible. The metal eyelets on my work boots were cutting through regular laces so I put these on them and they actually started wearing through the metal. They are also less prone to untying than regular laces. Highly recommended!

Low quality tips but good quality laces so far
Grippy but one of the tips came off immediately when I opened the package and grabbed it. I had to make a new tip out of tape in order to feed them through the lace holes in my boots. They're putting a lot into the quality of the races themselves and in the coding that goes over the laces and they do grip pretty tight when you tie them although throughout the course of the day they will come undone occasionally. I just need more consistent quality when they're putting the tips on.
