The Art of The Batman: The Official Behind-the-Scenes Companion to the Film

This is a great book, and I really mean that. The illustrations are excellent; especially exciting are the sections on the Batmobile and the gloomy look of Gotham City.However, I am taking two stars off for the condition of the cover. It’s made quite cheaply, and the absurd amount of wrinkles and dimples on both the inside cover and the outside cover make it a return for me. I am hoping that you get a better looking copy than I received! I will update/upgrade my review should the replacement look better.EDIT: The replacement did look better, but still not what I would expect from a brand new book. I am not that picky, but I have bought thousands of books during my life, and they have never looked like this. If there weren’t such differences between the two copies I have perused, I might have thought that the flaws are some weird artistic statement. But there are, and they are not.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent quality binding and pictures. Detailed pictures of concept art and breakdown of gadgets and character designs.I had originally considered taking off a star in this rating due to the pictures looking so dark, but it's honestly the way the entire movie feels. There isn't any bright or colorful scene in the movie making it and the book set a gloomy tone throughout. It works though. Just different compared to other "Art Of" books that might have brighter concept art.It's a well organized book separated into sections for each character or production phase. While there isn't much text, each section has a dedicated portion with details that add insight into the production, characters, gadgets, and my favorite - vehicles.

The artwork shown in this book is superb, and the text inserts from crewmembers are very interesting. I like the way the separate the chapters by titles like Vengence, Justice, Hope, etc. The in depth look at Batman's suit and the Botmobile, as well as the Batcycle are really cool, and seeing the design sketches is even better. If you are a fan of the movie and a sucker for visual dictionaries like me, you'll love this book.

Ive gotten many “Art of (Insert movie title here)” books and they have all been disappointing, only having stills directly from the movie. This book did not disappoint. It has so many amazing sketches, the concept art is beautiful, and even references to the original comics that inspired them. It provides so much background to the characters and the thought process behind the design choices. Overall really lovely. It arrived quickly and without any damage

The Art of The Batman is a fantastic book that details some of the designs of the film, including insight from the filmmakers on the creative decisions from concept to the final product seen in the film. It is a beautifully-detailed hardcover book that has a lot of attention to the designs, from the Batsuit to the tone of the film’s Gotham City and the characters. For the film fans who love the film, this is a great book.

This book is great. Gives you some great insight. A lot of Unit Photography, Concept Art, Concept Sketches, VFX 3-D Renders, Film Stills and Graphics. Some of the concept arts tend be on the darker side but they were obviously intended this way to show the feel of what has become the movie. The lightings on those darker arts are actually beautiful. I’ve uploaded the maximum amount of images I could post and there are so much more to see. Just wanted to show you that it’s not at all hard to see these beautiful images as some other reviewers say. The print quality is great. Photography images are sharp. Concept art images quality are great for what they’re suppose to be, since they were only intended for the movie which is why it’s called concept art [not print quality finished artworks]. I honestly wish there was more but it’s good amount to flip through and enjoy. I recommend it if you’re a fan of the movie or Batman in general. Cool book to own and add to your art book collection 😉

Amazing book and not too expensive. It is SUPER high quality. The art just POPS and the whole book is just awesome. I have it on my coffee table and people love looking through it.Lots of cool text to read in it as well. I would buy from this company again for sure.
