Nicely built hose
I needed a pool back washing solution as my pump/filter is located close to my property line and my neighbor didn't appreciate all the added water on his property. This hose kit works great. I bought two of the 50', married them together with the poly cam locks and then cut the end off of one of the hoses and band clamped it to a section of rigid PVC coming off the backwash plumbing. Best part is when I kick the pump on this hose is heavy duty enough to stay where I put it while the water flows which isn't something I can say about those cheap, thin hoses most pool stores sell. Plus I can just loosen the band clamp and the whole setup comes off for easy storage. It does have that industrial smell that others have mentioned but I suspect that will fade with time. Highly recommend this hose for this kind of purpose.

Simply the best pool backwash hose money can buy!
This is my second one after having the first for 5 or 6 years. The first would have lasted longer if we were better about disconnecting and storing it after each use. It puts those cheap flimsy water balloon thick hoses to shame….which don’t even last one use without leaking.

Excellent 3 inch hose for a bargain price
I bought 2 of these when Amazon dropped the price to $18 each. For that price, these hoses are great value, for the more normal $60-70 range they are comparable to Harbor Freight, but perhaps a little better. They were packed strapped, but when unhooked, they were clean, no crease cracks or other issues. The material seems thick enough to use on a semi-trash pump with stuff running though it. Only time will tell.

Great Value And Performance
I ordered this hose to move recent rain water away from several large oak trees that I had planted as acorns. As you can see in the picture, it stores flat and makes a compact circle about a foot across when rolled up. I fold mine over in the middle and start rolling it up from the fold so that both fittings end up together on the outside of the roll. Rolling it up from the middle in two layers this way allows the water to evacuate from the ends and takes half the time. Also, once I've gotten the rolling process started, I lay it on a flat surface like the driveway or a board and continue rolling it up on its side. This helps keep the roll tight and straight.Coming up from my pump's discharge, I used three 45 degree elbows in series that ended up directing the pump's discharge back towards the ground at 45 degrees. I ended that with a threaded male 1 1/2" PVC fitting to fit the brass female fitting on the hose. This combination provided a somewhat rounded and rigid exit from the pump, allowing me to attach the hose at an angle that would not kink. The hose fittings are extra thick-walled, which looks like it would be an unnecessary restriction. However, this hose performed excellent and moved a lot of water fast with the pump I was using. I matched this hose up with the Superior Pump 91330 1/3 HP Thermoplastic Submersible Utility Pump, also from Amazon. This combination worked so well that I ordered one more of each to hurry up and finish the job before my trees got too stressed from sitting in water. This hose is an excellent value for the money and I recommend it.

2 inch discharge hose
This came directly from a shipyard on the east coast. Guess if it's good enuf for them, it's good enuf for me. I like the fact that this came already assembled with both ends on the hose. The only down side is the operator needs to make sure the hose doesn't have too many bends in it when discharging. That comes with the territory considering this hose rolls up very compactly like a fire hose. The best advice I can give to combat the "bends" is to consider buying a 90 degree elbow for your discharge (depending on how your pump is set up, it may already have a 90 degree discharge) so you can draft into the pump in a straight line with the pump housing and then discharge at a 90 degree angle away from where you are sucking up the water. The elbow may allow you to straighten the hose out completely with no bends during discharge operations. The only elbow I found on here was about $53, almost as much as this hose, so I am looking for one that's less expensive, if anybody wants to send me a link if they find one. Plastic or metal is OK, either one. Overall, a very good hose.

not a good product
right out of the box the hose had a leak at the fitting. CHINA is way over crimping the crimp sleeve. 2 hose like this and I've had the same issue each time. If you need a dependable product for heavy irrigation use, buy american made. I fell for a cheap price and paid for it.

Best discharge house I've own.
Works great, no leaks and the cam lock makes it easy to remove and store it away. The locks are very stiff and hard to work initially but after a while they work like they're supposed to.

Lacking in quality control
This hose worked satisfactorily for the two days I used it, but had a small line of pin hole leaks in one place, about three inches long. I only had it pressurized to about 25 to 30 PSI, but it is rated much higher. It looked like it had a factory defect. A small line of the exterior vinyl coating was defective in one spot, like a small paint run. The holes did not leak significant amounts of water, but looked like a weak place that could burst, so I requested a replacement hose. The defective hose has been picked up, and the replacement is on the way. Amazon was easy to deal with in that regard. The connectors are excellent, and general build looks good. Quality control is lacking. Update: The replacement hose Amazon sent wasn't swaged on the ends. The connectors blew off almost as soon as I started the pump. I had to replace them with standard stainless hose clamps. After that, it worked OK. No leaks noticed after over eight hours use.

good quality
haven't used it yet, but bought it for a backup sump system as we have had flooded basements before. The product looks solid.
