Affordable option for insulation
Definitely not an inch thick. Other than that it'll serve the purpose for a little noise insulation. Easy to cut and work with with. Good value.

Good Fire-Rated Insulation
Used this as insulation for my in-wall speakers. Works great and helps deaden sound on the other side of the wall.

Amazing denim filling for acoustic panels for voice overs
One roll is enough to double up on the material for a 16 x 20 acoustic panel. It's much bigger and denser with fabric over the panel however. Aside from fabric you can make a beautiful acoustic panel for the cost of one roll. It's amazing to me and so I purchased as many rolls as I could.

Good stuff. NOT 1” thick. 1/2” at best.
Picked this up over others hoping it was indeed 1” thick to insulate behind a toilet pipe between it and the sill plate. It is more like half inch. Good material but shouldn’t be advertised as an inch.

Muffled a Noisy Dishwasher
My dishwasher is billed as a quiet dishwasher, but that was back in 2008. It is now a loud beast that sends my children hiding in a blanket.I pulled out the dishwasher and draped this over the top with it hanging over the sides. I cut a few inches to stuff into the sides once it was pushed in. This has worked like a dream. The sound is muffled and this was a snap to work with. It was very easy to cut and the lack of toxic fibers is a major reason I tried this. Wonderful!

Great for Shoring Up the Small Spaces
I've wanted to try recycled insulation for a while now and finally had a reason: small space insulation. I didn't buy this to insulate a large project, I bought it to stick into the space between the hole drilled for a pipe and the pipe. I bought it to fill the small uninsulated void between the joist, basement ceiling, and the ductwork running through it. I like that it doesn't require special considerations like fiberglass because I can carry it around, measure, cut, pack it in, and move on. The R-value is very low but "4" is better than nothing and it is mold, mildew, and fire-resistant to boot.
