It shows the switch and port number. We are a Cisco shop for our network, so I can't speak to how it works with other switches.

Does this cable tester come already calibrated?

Yes but I have in mind this tester RJ45 is 10/100/1000 NOT 10G for testing 5g and 10g is virtual testing, the MS-POE is 10/100/1000/10G RJ45.
