Do you have to toggle which port is active? Or does it detect automatically?

Hello, you cannot use this RJ45 Ethernet splitter to make two computers surf the Internet at the same time. Only one computer can surf the Internet at the same time. When you select one device to connect to the Internet, the other will automatically disconnect the network.

I bought this and returned it 3 time all the time one port never worked . Don't waste you money.
