I LOVE this coat! My Shih-poo is 17-18lbs, 10.5”neck, 18”chest, & 17”length, by following the measuring chart on the product page. I ordered the large & it fits perfectly, with or without her walkee paws underneath, which add a little extra bulk in the upper back/neck area. For anyone with a small dog who loves winter walks, you will definitely appreciate the coat/harness combo. In other words, one less step involved in getting ready to step outside. The harness is very sturdy. This little girl has actually damaged both of my bicep tendons in my shoulder by pulling on the leash too hard, but this coat can stand up to her strength. I love the step-in design with the zipper on top. Brilliant design! No more struggling with my dog while I try to Velcro straps underneath her belly and around her neck, only for them to come undone multiple times on our walk. This coat goes on easily and stays on. Just the right amount of warmth too. We’ve had temps ranging from well below zero to the uppper 30’s (F), and I’m pretty sure she’d walk all day if I let her! I can’t say enough good things about this coat. Buy it! **Measure carefully and follow the directions in the chart provided by the manufacturer, not the “size guide” link.

Once I got the right size it fit well and kept Maggie warm and top of her body dry. The straps and leash rings work great, no need to attach her leash to her color. Quite happy with the product and do recommend it.She weighs 30 lbs and she's wearing a size XXXL.

I have been trying to find a coat that will fit my Beagle for two years now and have purchased over six of them so far. But like the others, there are sizing issues....or I am just too picky. More on that later.If you take the sizing issues out, it is a very well made coat. The built in harness is not overly heavy, which was the case with one model I tried, and it is sewn into the coat very well. The zipper is also attached well and operates smoothly plus it has a zipper guard, or maybe more aptly called a "dog hair" guard, to prevent hair from getting caught in the zipper. It has a strap with a snap to secure the zipper in place too so it cannot come undone which is a nice feature. One problem with the harness design though are the two loops where you attach the harness which are on either side versus in the middle. If you connect the leash to just one loop it tends to pull the coat off to that one side more easily. The loops can be used together, but the spacing makes it a difficult to pull them close enough so you can attach the leash. Plus the thickness of the metal loops when used together is such that it was hard to get the leash hook connected....possible, but not easy. Not a huge deal though since I could get a different leash or hook, but not ideal.But it's the sizing of the coat that is the reason I am sending it back....once again. I am not sure if the manufacturers are just trying to make coats with a "universal" fit, but I have yet to find one that fits my dog well and she is a pretty standard size Beagle with a 22" chest and she is not overweight.I initially went with the XL after reading reviews and people saying they run big, but it was way too tight around her chest. So I returned it and purchased the XXL which fits her perfect in the chest, however, it did require me to tighten all the harness straps as far as possible to make it fit properly...and even then it could be tighter. The other issue is the neck hole which is way too big and it makes no sense. I mean she is a standard 15" Beagle so I imagine her neck is a normal circumference, so why is it made so big. Who are these dogs with a 22" chests that have 17" necks? It might work for a Bulldog or Pitbull, but certainly not for a Beagle or any dog with a similar shape. Maybe it would make sense for a taller dog with a longer tapered neck, but for a shorter breed like a Beagle...not so much.Not only is the neck too big but it's way to long which I think is partly due to the neck being too big which allows the coat to pull back when the dog pulls even a little on the leash. It would not be too bad if it just touched her tail, but it's 3-4 inches over her tail and she did not like it any more than I did. Plus it just looks weird.Anyway, I hope this information helps you make a decision. It's a nice coat but just not a great fit for the Beagle breed in my opinion. I only could give it four stars since I fell the overall design just does not make sense, yet it is a very well made coat.

Very good quality coat. Kept our little girl warm and comfortable. Took the measurements and ordered accordingly. Perfect fit. Love how it zips on the back. Easy on and off. 👍🏻

I tried several different brands of coats for my 20-lb Mini Aussie. This one was by far the nicest quality and the one I kept. Fits well and looks so cute. Easy to put on and love the built in harness. Definitely measure and use their fit chart!! My little dog was an XXL!

Love this coat! Have bought 3. One for our first dog and now 2 for our fast growing pup. The photo shows it a bit big, but that’s only because he’s growing so fast and I don’t want to go smaller. Coat is well made and the harness around chest is much easier for walking dog vs other brands who only put a hole in collar. Love!

My 9 yr old Mal Shih Gidget has been using her original jacket for 8 yrs. The closures are velcro and I have replaced them a zillion times. Well, not really, just seems like it. So I went looking for something better. The most challenging part was trying to match her dimensions to the jacket. Hers are: back length 13", chest girth 16", neck 10". The medium size was the closest so I got that. As you can see, it fits perfectly. The main closure is the back zipper. It has a snap tab up at the top with a flap that covers the end of the zipper. This tab keeps the material pulled together and helps keep the zipper from opening. For me, it also aids in putting the jacket on. I lay it on the floor inside facing up. I put Gidget's left foot in first; when her weight is on it I put her right foot in, then snap the tab closed. Then I pull the zipper up. It's very awkward if you try and do the zipper first. I found out the hard way after many frustrating tries. Another great feature is the built in harness. Some reviewers said if the dog pulled hard enough it compromised the fabric. I have never had that problem, maybe because she's lightweight. And after using this, I'll never get another jacket without this feature. It is so much easier and faster to get her ready to go out. She has worn it in the rain (not intentionally) and it is NOT water resistant. But it's great for dry weather in temps over 30 degrees.

I only gave this 3 stars because of how easy it is to put on and it looks cute. I ordered a size according to the size guide and measurements for my dog and it was way too long. So I returned it and went for a size smaller. Now it comes unzipped while my dog is wearing it. It is really annoying.

Quality of the vest is good, but the measurement on the chart was wrong. It asks you to measure from neck to tail as body length, but there is 5cm goes to the collar. When my dog tried it, it was shorter than expected. I had to order another larger size and the lead time was 6 weeks. Worse, the vest was never arrived until I contact the seller and they told me its out of stock. Not a reliable seller at all.

Sizing instructions are a little off. I originally ordered a size M after carefully measuring my 12 lb. mini schnauzer (other size M coats fit him well). It was too snug so I re-ordered the L. It fits well around the chest now but is a little long down the back. Otherwise, the coat is wonderful--love the attached harness that won't come off due the zippered back and dual "D-rings" to attach the leash to. I haven't tried it in the wetter weather--it's still winter in Canada! Would highly recommend!

The first one I ordered was too small, despite careful measuring, so I returned it for a larger size. My dog is a large papillon, 14 lbs, and the XL fits him perfectly. I love this coat - it’s well made, warm without being overly bulky, and the zipper is high quality. His other coats had Velcro enclosures and I was constantly having to pick the hair off the Velcro, finally I gave up. This zipper is a breeze to use with an inside liner that keeps his long hair from getting caught. The built in harness is a wonderful feature. I would definitely recommend this coat to anyone who is as fed up with Velcro closures as I was. It’s very easy to put on and take off. Love it!

Second time purchasing as my dog outgrew his old one. Well made, keeps my dog warm for fall/winter, nice zipper (doesn’t get caught), nice material (somewhat water-resistant but not waterproof) and has a built in harness with thicker sturdy rings and clip which is handy. Purchased XXL (2XL) for my 20 lbs terrier mix and it fits good although it’s a bit long but his tail holds it’s up. If it helps for reference, my dog measures 19.5” length and 19” around the chest.
