This is going to sound like a damned shill, but I almost NEVER write product reviews because they are usually not worth the time. I'm writing this one because this deodrant shcoked me.I've been using Degree "heat activated" white stick type deodrant since the 1990s. Right through my military service, fatherhood, and now in to my current middle age grey-beard era. While it worked, I started to notice it was getting weaker over the last few years.. heavy focus on fragrance with almost no sweat or real deodorizing capabilities. My wife had tried a bunch of the safer deodorants (no heavy metals, etc) but they didn't work for squat.Annoyed, I bought 2 sticks of this stuff about a week and a half ago for my son and I to try. I was drawn to it being a safer deodorant, but was leery about it working or keeping me dry. Its now day 4 or 5 wearing this stuff (I apply it at night right after I get out of the shower) and it STAYS ACTIVE ALL DANG DAY. No sweat, no overpowering crappy fragrance like the Degree stuff I was trying to get away from.Pros: It works. Packaging looks like something my grandma would buy, but it keeps you dry and odor free for a long time. It says it works for 2 days, but I shower daily and I'm not planning to stretch it out.Cons: Kinda pricey. It works really well and it's not made with aluminum, but geez it's expensive. If they can work on the cost a bit, I'll switch over my entire family (its a big family).

I've used other deodorants from Schmidt's before but I always felt like they didn't work very well at keeping odor away. I read good things about this one so decided to try it and it's been my favorite deodorant ever! It's got a nice, light scent and I never have to worry about smelling at all. I highly recommend!

I’ve purchased this product twice and used to really love it. It has a very neutral scent and kept me smelling fresh, which is something I struggled to find with other natural deodorants out there. It was my go to for over a year, but then I started developing a rash that would come and go. I eventually realized that it could be due to the baking soda in this product. I eventually switched to a baking soda free deodorant and haven’t had a rash since. I would definitely be cautious about using this product if your skin is sensitive.

I purchased this deodorant in my search to find something that works with me without having to reapply 4 times a day and without the chemical burns. I actually asked Grok for a deodorant recommendation, mentioned other brands I've tried and the outcomes, and this was #3 in the list. I asked if they give any financial support to XAi or to X (and did a little search myself) to see if it was actually product placement but found they do not give any money to X. So I gave it a try.As a guy, I enjoy smelling like a guy. I do prefer the sandalwood fragrance, but this fragrance (magnesium and charcoal) is also really good. It honestly smells like fruity pebbles cereal. My first stick lasted me a month and I haven't had to reapply it until after showering. I might have been applying it a little heavier than necessary out of habit as that's how I had to do it with other brands. Overall response, I'm very happy and impressed with this product. Grok did me right steering me towards Schmidt's. I'll be ordering more for sure.

Out of all the natural deodorants I’ve tried this is the only one that works well. I do have to moisturize more often because of the baking soda but I’m really happy it’s natural and effective. The scent is nice and it keeps me fresh without any harsh ingredients.

These don't smell like magnesium or charcoal at all. They smell like fruit loops lol! My wife loves it though and it goes well with my everyday cologne, Bleu de Chanel.I'm not particularly sensitive to deodorants, I've only had a bad reaction to BRUT. I don't use aluminum because the health impacts and because it's hard to wash off in the shower. This doesn't stop me from sweating, but makes me smell good.
