Dual fuel gen for our camper
So far seems to be a great little generator. It came well packaged, and the documentation with it was good. Filled with the oil it came with, connected the battery, filled it with fuel, and it fired right up! Runs very quiet compared to several others I’ve been around. Plans for it to be our b/u power for our camper. The 3300 watts on gas is 10% over our inverter on the camper, so we should be good using gasoline or the propane, with 2970 watts running. Also chose this unit for the clean power, but mostly due to it being only 58 pounds. We didn’t want to carry a 100 pound plus generator, and really didn’t need 5000 watts as we only plan this for back up use. Seems to fit the bill for us!

Great Inverter-Generator for the Price
The generator arrived on the day promised on an Amazon delivery truck. It was packed in a sturdy box which showed no damage. It was completely assembled and fairly heavy, about 100 pounds. It came with a nicely printed documentation package which included a replacement parts list. There was a box of accessories which included a quart of oil, a funnel to pour the oil into the unit, and a pouch of tools. My unit was made in Vietnam.I put oil into the unit using the funnel, which is pretty much required to get oil into the crankcase. It took about 75% of the quart to get 2/3 of the way up the dip stick. I fueled it with 87 octane ethanol free gasoline. I flipped the ON switch, fully choked it, and started pulling the starting rope. It took a total of 12 pulls to start it. At around pull 8, it putted a time or two. I pulled it a couple more times before moving the choke to 1/2. It then started on the second pull. It would probably have started sooner had I reduced the choke after the first putt. After running a while, I stopped it and tried to restart it. It starts best with some choke applied even when it is warm.It runs at a very low noise level. Its noise level is about the same as another generator I have that is less than half the power output. The data center provides some good information such as fuel level, runtime, and output load. I ran it for about an hour, never loading it above 1 KW. The break-in period is 5 hours at no more than 50% load. It ran well and supplied all the loads I tried just fine. I expect that it will provide years of reliable service. Also, Westinghouse has a very good website to support its products, including this unit.

Easy starting, carrying and full of features
I did allot of research and this model had all the specs I am interested in for camping; easy to maneuver/carry, quiet, dual fuel, and 30 amp receptacle. The price is comparable to other brands. The remote and push button start make it super easy and convenient to start. I also like the fact that it keeps track of the run time.I have just finished the 5 hour break in period and am pleased with its operation so far.

Very Nice Generator with all the features
The Westinghouse 4000 dual fuel inverter generator has all the features at a good price! I connected to propane first and the generator started right up. Just flip the on switch and push the button. Then, I switched to gas and ran it. After running it for the 5 hour break in, running on gas, I plugged in a 30amp camper and ran the Furrion Chill 15K air conditioner and it ran fine. I ran the generator on eco mode and it ramped up to run the air conditioner. The ac ran at 1800 watts once started. The generator was louder than I had hoped it would be at 75db close to the unit running the a/c (not sure on the accuracy of a free iPhone app to measure the db). It would be fine to use for running ac for us in terms of operations and noise in the camper, but not unless we are far from others. If it turns out it does not get much use camping, it will work well for power failures at home. A lot of power in a small package that is easy to move around. The documentation is good and it seems like Westinghouse will support the product. 4 instead of 5 stars since the description says ultra and super quiet and I am not so sure I agree with the use of those terms.

Bonus Gift
Awesome little thing. I wasn’t sure how big it would be in person but for the power this thing is a perfect size and powers all of my tools really well. It’s super quiet and eco mode drops it’s a lot more as well. The shop vac I run with the gen is louder than the gen itself. I love the build quality and how simple it is to use and start. Definitely worth the money compared to some of these other options out here!

Westinghouse 5000 Peak Watt Super Quiet Dual Fuel Portable Inverter
Awesome unit! I really like how the oil funnel is threaded so that as you poor oil into the unit, nothing spills. This unit is very quiet. I was able to speak with an individual with the unit running without yelling. I like how portable the unit is, not overly heavy, has nice handles for lifting and for pulling. The unit was delivered to my home very quickly. After putting oil in the unit and filling it with gasoline, it started right up. This generator comes with a tool kit, propane adapter kit, key fob and charged battery. The generator was boxed really nice and no damage during shipping. Awesome little generator. Get one!
