For the price, I cannot believe the quality you get from this camera. The image stabilization is great. The quality of the image is so good I can't believe it. It's miles better than anything you get off your cell phone. It's small enough that nobody notices you are recording. This is a fantastic deal, get a hero 8 right now, the price is low, it's better than the 7, everyone is buying the more expensive and newer 9. Everything about it is great right now, go get it.Battery runs down really fast, that's to be expected in such a small device that outputs such a high quality image. I figure it's less than an hour on default settings. Batteries are cheap though.If you run into problems importing footage to your computer, make sure your computer is up to date enough. I almost thought the camera was broken because every movie I shot had freeze frames. Turned out to be software on my end was just too old to handle the great quality and file format this thing uses. It works well after I updated.

Product is good however advertisement said comes with extra battery but only one battery was supplied. Very disappointed.

Story time children.Didn't think I'd be writing a review like this. GoPro has a stable red light that doesn't turn off. The camera doesn't turn on or charge. I've tried different cables, charging boxes, outlets, computers, batteries a combination of all as well as the fix videos and suggestions found on Amazon, YouTube and the GoPro website. Nothing seems to work. From the research I've done it sounds like it's a faulty camera. Hoping to get it replaced. GOOD LUCK. I've tried contacting customer support, the seller, GoPro, nothing. Amazon can offer a full refund but no replacement. So if you get it on sale, like I did, you're on your own or you have to pay more money for the same product. SCAM.Pray nothing goes wrong with it or you're out of luck or you'll have to fight to get to where you want. Careful who you buy from. Awful experience and definitely loss of business.Update: Just been informed that the seller lies to you as well. Telling you that they are not the seller of the item. Add theft to the list as well. TTP -- money stealers.Update: I think Amazon Customer service is going to pull through no thanks to the seller. Not a replacement but hopefully get down the price originally paid for. Just a bit of a hassle to get everything back and order another one that isn't defective. Fingers crossed.Update: After going through customer service several times and then speaking with a "manager" on the phone, it looks like I'm not going to recieve the original deal. They after I had returned the defective item, I was supposed to get a call back from Amazon, the "manager", and set up the order again and receive the same price as originally paid for. Nothing. No call. Called them and apparently they cannot do that. Thanks. They will refuse to give any sort name or record number with regards to the call. Little shady and not impressed at all. Definitely going to be spending less on Amazon or using Amazon as a last resort because of this experience.Going back to my original statement. SCAM.

This camera worked really well under water while snorkeling. Picture quality was excellent, no issues going from surface to small dive (approximately 10-15 feet deep). Really impressed. Video was easy to access and share. Only small complaint is that the battery didn't last quite as long as expected (1 full zip line run, and two partial runs - less than 3 hours, when battery was advertised to run 4-6 hours). Overall, this is a great camera - just make sure you have at least one extra charged battery handy if you're planning to be out for 3 or more hours.
