Resident Evil Series Books 1 - 7 Collection Set by S. D. Perry (Umbrella Conspiracy, Caliban Cove, City of the Dead, Underworld, Nemesis, Code: Veronica & Zero Hour) Paperback – January 1, 2021

I originally collected these when they were first printed and it was always excruciating to wait for the next release. Was an avid fan of the Resident Evil video games so to have these novelizations, plus the original stories in between, was an absolute treat. Was really glad to find these in a complete set recently, so I had to pick them up.

Throughout the years the resident evil games haven't been done much justice when it comes to hollywood movies. Ask most fans and they'll agree that they are resident evil in name only with guest appearances of characters and creatures from the games.However the medium of novels has been, in my opinion, much more respectful of it's lore and characters. In this 7 book series by S.D. Perry, it covers the events of the oldest games in the series plus 2 all original stories.The books are a blast to read and never feel boring. There are canonical errors when you get to the Nemesis book which the author does address. Because the books were being written as the franchise was evolving in the late 90's and early 2000's. Four of the books had been written before resident evil 3, the game, had even been released.If you're a RE fan who's never heard of these books or a horror junkie needing some good zombie thrillers with a side of shadowy corporations doing nasty stuff these are definitely for you.

I haven't read them yet, but I'm excited to! I've been wanting to collect the whole set for a while and this was a great price! I'm giving the set a five star rating because the books seem fine, but I think the shipping needs to be improved for future customers.The books seem to be in good condition, but they could have been packaged better. They were shipped in a padded manilla envelope and were shrink-wrapped. The shrink wrap kind of bent the corners a little. I can live with it, but since they're new, they shouldn't be like that. I think shipping them in a box in a different kind of protective plastic would be better. Shrink wrap is too tight for this many paperback books. I was surprised they weren't shipped in a box. They're paperback, so even though these books arrived in mostly fine condition, it wouldn't have taken much to damage them in transit.

I held off for some time before getting this boxed set. I love video games almost as much as I love reading, and Resident Evil is one of my favorite series, though it sometimes takes second place after Silent Hill.Since this series is based off of the video games, I expected slapdash writing and horrible dialogue like you get with the games. That is not true at all. The writing is really engaging and puts you in the stories, you get to know most of the characters you care about, and the action rarely lets up. Like the games, there's action, violence, zombies, viruses, good people, bad people, in-between people, and mysteries.If you haven't read these because you were expecting low quality, at least pick up the first one and give it a try.

First, I want to say that I was so excited to find this series since I am an avid gamer of the series. These books BLEW ME AWAY! They are expertly written and they really carry the atmosphere of the games with the horror. I love to read but even I raced through the series. Within a week I had complete the first four books. I even enjoyed the original stories. The characters had depth and seemed the same way they appeared in the games. These truly are a work of art! If you love the series and are on the fence, just go ahead and buy them.

Delivery came in perfect. All the books were bundled together with film. Love the new cover art. Haven’t read these books since I was a kid. Feels good to relive my childhood.

Im not really a reader. I do like buying books with appealing covers, but i am a life long resident evil fan and i had to buy this series of books. And once i started reading, i couldnt stop. If youre a fan of the series, this is a must

So far I like how detailed the books are in describing the environment, and I also like the characterizations!
