Long lasting and value for your money
I have been using these strain reliefs for many years only recently (past few year) found on Amazon. Previously used Heyco brand and feel the Arlington brand provides better longevity, grip and sealing. I particularly like being able to snug hand tight and the insert seals unlock before requiring a crescent wrench to snug it up. Also, the insert stays pliable I have never had to replace again, like before and using the same for over 7-years is saying something especially when they are used in an outside environment. Finding on Amazon I can add pricing for me, previously paying as much as $7.50 each in a lower quantity. Local electrical store charging me about $5.00 each at a quantity of 50 so getting 100 for the same price is a no brainer.

Best cable gland period
From the o-ring seal to the tightly adjusting aperture, this cable gland is top of the line. I used to it seal 0.25" OD shielded CAT5e entering a outdoor junction box and it worked flawlessly. Of course enter from the bottom of an enclosure where possible with a drip loop, but from the fit I'm confident this would create a waterproof seal at any orientation.

The Best
Who spends over an hour looking for high quality Cable Glands? Me, that's who! There is so much junk being sold as UL listed, liquid tight, etc. and they don't meet any of those requirements. These Cable Glands are UL listed, Liquid Tight and very high quality. The best available on Amazon. I use these for my Solar wiring into a waterproof junction box. 10 AWG PV Wire fits nicely. You could go as big as 2 gauge and as small as 18, maybe 20 gauge. A little pricey, but would you like to have water in your junction box? Me either. Spend a little extra and get QUALITY and peace of mind!

Works great for Romex 6-3 w/Ground!
First off, let me thank those who went above and beyond in describing and measuring this in their reviews. That really helped. For me, I was looking for a non-metallic way to secure Romex 6/3 to a PVC box, and this (the 3/4" size)did the job very well. Not sure if anything thicker than that would fit through, but it worked for this application. A bit of a warning: opinions vary, but to make this whole assembly truly "non metallic" as per NEC, you should replace the metal nut with a plastic / nylon nut. Using this connector as such in a PVC box avoids all grounding requirements for the box, which makes assembly a whole lot easier, especially when you're wrestling with getting lots of #6 wires tucked into a box. Again, opinions vary on whether using the supplied metal nut would necessitate connecting to ground somehow, but your AHJ will be the only opinion which matters, so just play it safe and get the plastic nut.

A part I'll never forget
These are perfect for 12GA or 14GA 3 wire extension cords when you want to custom feed one into an electrical box. The whole strain relief connector screws accurately into a plastic electrical box, the ones that don't use the metal locking ring you can see in the picture. On one occasion I had slippery hands when screwing the cap down onto 12GA wire, and I cross threaded the cap a couple of times. I took a breather and backed the cap off to inspect it, and to my surprise, there was no damage whatsoever to the threads. That is so well made and an easy 5 stars. I'm thrilled every time I think about these things.

Clever design, easy to use
These strain reliefs cover a wide range of cable diameters with no time-consuming disassembly/assembly required. Installation is very easy. They grip tight on all kinds of insulation, and appear to seal as well as any I have used. Although the grip is very strong, the gripping fingers do not cut into the insulation, and do not significantly weaken the cable at the point of gripping.I use them on hand-held remote control boxes in a metal processing plant.I was a little hesitant to use plastic strain reliefs at first, because the environment where they are used is industrial, with exposure to oil, solvents, and grit, and rough handling every day. Now, three years since I first installed these, I have had no issues with them. They are at least as tough as the cables they grip, and they stay tight. When replacing a damaged cable, the grip was easy to re-use on the new cable, and seems to be as secure as ever.
