Not quite as thick as the 3x5 ones I was using, but I needed 4x6sLined one side, blank the other - work OK, could be thicker... I can't just hold a single one and write they bend too much for that, but if you're putting them on something to write, they work fine.

These index cards are thick, sturdy, and perfect for studying or notes. I use them for everything—flashcards, recipes, reminders. You get a ton in the pack and the quality is always consistent.

I have found these cards to be so useful! They are the only ones I could find with the size, weight, color and spacing that I prefer. You have to look really closely at the descriptions if you are picky about this! You get a LOT of them for the money so make sure they are what you want/need. In my cases, I really prefer the 4"x6" cards with 14 lines on one side and blank on the back. Some of the other cards have less lines and bigger spaces between. I would call these college-ruled versus wide-ruled. Since I got them for a specific purpose, I have found so many other uses for them. Great value!

..for my use, which is to fold one in half and use it for my to-do list and quick notes throughout the day. Since many people here use these for flash cards, I've included a few pictures showing how the ink of various popular pens write on the card and how much they do or do not show through under various lighting conditions. I would think that heavier card stock would be a better choice for that particular usage. And while I didn't try it, from prior experience I would suspect that that fountain pen ink would tend to bleed and possibly feather. At the end of the day, for this price I think these are a fine value.

These cards are a great thickness. They are being used as recipe cards. These should hold up well.

They work for what I need, not as sturdy as I would like though
