I received my paddle today and used for first time on a lake raft trip with my grandchildren. This paddle DOES NOT float.. DON'T BUY THIS PADDLE Disappointed by false advertising.

Q: What is the diameter of the hole in the handle? Want to put a securing rope through it.

A small diameter rope would work. Home Depot/Lowe's will have a selection.
