Just the right size to carry in one’s work bag.

Great way to study by testing yourself. I am using this in conjunction with the LCSW prep from Therapist's Development Center and the questions are of similar nature. I ordered another of this author's books. If I come across something that I don't know, I look it up and make a flash card to practice with.

If you’re using this book to study for the LCSW, don’t get bogged down with all of the information & definitely don’t try to memorize it! I passed (I know there are many versions of the test) but mine had very simple/basic diagnostic questions. I think this is a good book to keep for future reference. Yes, thereare some typos & grammatical errors. A question was repeated back to back so really it should be 99 questions every social worker should know. But you can tell that overall, the author knows the DSM-5 & I did learn from it.

I learned so much from this study book. Lots of terms and reviews I needed. Glad I choose to get it. Would absolutely recommend purchasing it.

I purchased this guide along with the new version of the DSM 5 to study for the LCSW. Definitely recommend and its easy to follow.

I spent more time cross referencing the material because of the many grammatical errors. There were so many that you second guess the validitybof the material. But otherwise it's ok. I purchased it because I'm not wanting to fully tackle the DSM-V.

I am currently provisionally licensed as a LCSW-A. I am studying for my licensure exam, and I have identified the DSM as my area for improvement. This book is worth the money. The questions are challenging but insightful. Its very helpful that the answers are located in the back of the book. I would highly recommend this text for those who are preparing to take the licensing exam.
