Cannot recommend highly enough
All I can say is that this is the single most influential book in my library that I have ever read, apart from the Bible itself. As I read this I was daily convicted, taught, comforted and showed the loving, peaceful character of God. I've read this book cover to cover once and now flip back through my favorite chapters each morning - I've marked well over half as favorites!Like everyone else has said, the chapters are short and easy to read as a part of a morning devotional (that's what I did) but they pack a punch in very few words. I will caution you that a lot of Elliot's ideas seem "old-fashioned" at first, and if you aren't prepared for that I'd imagine you could be turned off by some of what she says. But I would challenge you to really compare what she says with what Scripture says and, though it might be difficult to swallow, especially chapters about a woman's role in the family, I think you will find that every word is backed up by sound Biblical Truth and understanding. And, if you're looking for encouragement as you struggle against the world's interpretation of what a woman should be like today, look no further! Elliot hits the nail on the head a hundred times over.Seriously, do yourself a favor and buy this book. You will NOT regret it.

Inspiring Book
I love the writings of Elisabeth Elliot and this book is no exception. Filled with experiential vignettes of her life, people she has met along the way, places she’s been, and filled with her musings, wisdom, intelligence, wit, and devotion to God. Reading her books is like sitting with an old friend over tea and realizing the world is so much better with her in it. She is gone now but her words as legacy live on.

Does EE ever miss?
This book is just as good as you'd imagine. Elisabeth Elliott never misses. This book is full of spiritual and practical wisdom for the everyday woman, mom, and wife. I appreciate her traditional perspective regarding many of the topics covered in this book.

Read again and again
This is a favourite of mine. I find I’ve been reading and rereading it over and over again. I find encouragement and reminders to refocus my gaze away from the difficulties and challenges, and toward the cross of Christ and the trustworthiness and faithfulness of God in the midst of every breath and detail of life and living. Regular references to the lives lived and difficulties endured by other followers of Christ, Scripture, and letters from people writhing in pain and seeking advice (names obviously changed for the book), are regular reminders that in this world we will face pain, but to take courage: Christ has overcome the world. We are encouraged to trust God in every detail and nuance.I encourage you to read it, and to let others know about it once you have.

A combination of deep doctrinal theology as well as daily practical guidance
I have read this book during my devotional time, and i have found it absolutely helpful and personal especially now. It offers very practical tips for daily christian living and answers some of the hardest questions every christian is faced with on a day to day basis. I highly recommend.

Another great book from a great author!
Elisabeth Elliot is a amazingly blessed and wise writer (i can never pick a favourite with her!). Keep a Quiet Heart would make a great bedside book - the chapters are not too long, and each chapter deals with a different topic/self contained (so you don't feel you're missing out if you only read a chapter or two). Couldn't recommend more.
