I really cant give this product a positive review bc it doesn't work well at all. I was curious about the 'heavy weight' of the product and thought it might somehow make it advantageous and for the price the aesthetic was passable. But after using it I discovered that eth heavy weight feature was a gimmick. 'Heavy weight' products often mean the product is of better quality and that's the marketing tactic the craftsman was going for here. Imagine brushing your teeth with a 5lb dumbbells taped to your brush. You need dexterity when completing fine movements and movements where safety is a concern and a heavy utensil makes it very hard to feel the pressure needed around the contours and maneuver the tool to keep the right amount of pressure on. It felt so dumb. Like shaving with a bowie knife.2. The hair QUICKLY gets built up under the razor edge and you need to rinse the razor after every 2-3 strokes! I need not explain how annoying and unnecessary this is. Was this razor tested before production?3. The short sides of the blade protrude from the ends of the safety razor body! There is 2mm of razor that sticks out past the safety razor body bc the body is too short. So to tighten the safety razor after a blade is inserted you are forced to grip the freaking corners of the safety razor, without slipping, in order to not cut yourself and properly tighten the blade down. This design flaw is just laughable. Learn how to use a ruler.This is a terrible product and I wish I could return it.Buy from actual brands where there is some smidgeon of pride in their work, not from shoddy Chinese makers. I bought it bc I needed a razor with little money at the time but I should have just used the Harrys stuff until I could afford a real safety razor, oh well.

The handle is marvelous. Deeply knurled to become part of your hand. The head is aggressive so a very light touch is required to use it. Or you can just replace the head like I did with a Merkur open tooth head. The handle was what I was after and did not disappoint. It is secure in your hand regardless of soapy-ness. Get this handle and pair it with your favorite head that suits your shave for the ultimate shaving experience.

Been wet shaving for about a year. Started out with a cheap Weishi or whatever TTO then a Merkur 42C. Got a Q-Shave Future clone but the head was too big to get close around my nose.I love this thing. It's open comb which is perfect for my thick hair (I shave every 2-3 days), and is aggressive. But with Gillette Nacet, PolSilver Iridium, or Voskhod blades it is aweseome. The Nacet's are my favorite and think I'll be sticking with those for a while though. Just make sure you don't push at all and let the weight of the razor do the work. This thing is heavy and will take care of business all by itself.Nice craftsmanship. Smooth look. And it's awesome in it's black satin finish. When you pick it up you can tell it's a razor that's gonna get the job done.

Don’t write reviews but this razor is awesome. I actually look forward to shaving now. I spent a lot of time making a decision on a open comb razor. Looked up all sort of reviews for more expensive ones. Decided on this one because of weight and size of handle plus I like the finish a lot more then chrome. If you have trouble letting the weight of the razor do the work this one makes it easy. The weight and length of the handle is fantastic and perfect for me. The texture of the handle makes it easy to keep a good grip without adding more pressure to the razor. Went to this from a butterfly razor that cost close to this one that I got on amazon. Open comb is much better then closed for me also doesn’t clog up like the closed comb butterfly one I was using. Shipping was fast and costumer service is great.

I like a heavy razor, my primary safety razor was stainless a closed comb razor. I had to go over the same area on my face several times to get a close shave, and I don't have a thick beard. I bought this open comb safety razor to see how much closer a shave I would get. I definitely get a closer shave with this open comb safety razor but there is a learning curve when shaving with a open comb safety razor, more nicks but much smoother shave.

I was unable to attach blades that fit well has I think the head is over sized.

Very nice razor. Great for people with bigger hands and want a heavy razor. This thing is a beast. Smooth shave without being aggressive. Shaves better than my Merkur open comb. The machining is great, the finish is nice looking but has a few boogers between the combs which doesn't affect the performance. Shipping was super fast even though it isn't prime shipping. Ordered it on Friday and received it on Monday. Came in two padded boxes, one for the handle and one for the head. Even came with a sample of their brand of shave cream. Wish I had found this razor years ago. I will probably buy another just to keep at work.
