Works perfectly! Great for data transfer
My PC: Skytech Gaming Nebula Desktop with NVIDIA RTX 4060I bought this to use the USB-C ports for data transfer and it does the job! I work with large video files and having these ports is a game changer. Solid connection and easy installation.

Plug and Play
It didn't work in the first PCI-E slot, only charged didn't recognize phone or other device. Checked Device Manager, card was NOT in there so I tried another PCI-E slot and it registered in Device Manager and recognizes devices now. Works without drivers in Windows 10 and it works PERFECT so far. Thanks for keeping my old Pc alive and useful! Updated 9/4/21 After two months it's still working fine. I was very worried about it dying suddenly like in other reviews but only problem has been two failures that required reboot. Card stopped working while being used with no warning. No system crash, just every card on device no longer showed up. Required a reboot and worked fine after that. Updated 10/10/21 The crashes seem to be caused by multiple access demands on the USB card. If you try to play media on two drives at one time you might freeze it up requiring reboot. Otherwise everything is still okay. Updated 2/08/22 the crashes are DEFINITELY caused by multiple calls to the card causing it to overheat and crash. I was using my phone on one USB, playing music on another USB and looking around in a third USB when the crash occurred. My power supply is 800 watt, it is NOT my power supply it is the cards limited capacity to hold a current that causes a fail. An otherwise PERFECT piece of machinery that should have been shop tested more with a greater capacitor.

Works great until it doesn't
This card does exactly what it says, adds 4 additional USB-3 ports to your desktop. It is easy to install and requires nothing special during the install process, just plug it in and go.As noted in the description, it can supply power out these ports, which of course is a very good thing. However, eventually all of this advance power supply circuitry is going to fail, and you will need a new board. My first board lasted about 2 and a half years. I just order a new board, hopefully it last just as long.

An F for tech support
This was a $20 lesson for me: Don't throw away Amazon packaging before the end of the return period. The card worked great for almost a month. I had it connected to a Logitech USB 2.0 webcam and a WD USB 3.0 external hard drive. Then Microsoft auto-installed a Win 10 update, and the card stopped working. I deleted the USB extendable device hardware in device settings and installed the drivers from the FebSmart website. The devices still didn't work, and I reconnected them to my 2.0 computer ports. The FebSmart website doesn't list a phone number for tech support, but it does have an email address along with a written commitment to a 24-hour reply.I emailed them, explaining the situation. Three-and-a-half days later I received a reply:It wasn't a card problem. I needed to contact Logitech and see if they could give me 3.0 drivers! What!First, the card had worked great with these devices for almost a month.Second, the hard drive was 3.0.Third, a simple Google search will tell you that all 2.0 devices are compatible with 3.0.This is a tech support team with amazingly little technical knowledge or little interest in helping customers.I recommend that you stay clear of FebSmart. I will.UPDATE (in case someone else runs into the same issue):I explained my problem and asked for help in the Questions section of the product page,Someone knowledgeable was kind enough to respond. The Microsoft Update had changed the mother board BIOS. I needed to remove the card, turn the computer on, turn the computer off, and then re-install the card.It then worked flawlessly again. I wish that Amazon provided a way to single out that individual for thanks.

plug and play for power
I had plug and play power, however it would not recognize it in my device manager. I searched everywhere and nothing but problems with driver but no way to find it or download it. I rebooted a few times to try and get my 14 year old Pentium i7 first gen system to recognize it. so, I went back in and opened about 3 or 4 different pages about Renesas and the driver pages and I left them up and did a restart with the pages up and when I rebooted and checked my device manager and it was listed 2 times as 3.0 and worked great. they should include the driver for this as I have 2 drive. 1 ssd and 1 hard drive so had to do it twice. I can't afford a gen 4 or above Pentium i7. good luck. It will work eventually. just keep trying.

Great but not what I thought it was. Read description carefully.
I ordered this product, but it didn't meet my specific needs. Although it matches the description perfectly, I overlooked the detail that it has a total bandwidth of 5Gbps, not 5Gbps per port.During testing, I connected the camera to multiple ports, and it consistently performed well as long as only one camera was connected. However, when I connected more than one camera, only one worked, confirming the bandwidth limitation. The packaging was excellent, as shown in my video.Unfortunately, due to the limited bandwidth, I'll have to return this product. However, I highly recommend it for those needing extra ports for a single device. It's not suitable for multiple USB 3.0 devices.
