HormelBeef Tamales, 15 Ounce (Pack of 12)

We love the Chicken or the Beef tamales. Throw a can of chili beans and shredded cheese cheesy on them. All the protein. Great quick meal.

I've always loved these since I was a child and Mom used to make them for us in a pinch. Mom says her Mom made them for her and her Dad back in the 40's and 50's and she loved them back then also! She says her Mom used to heat them in the sealed can in boiling water before opening them to serve. I heat them in the microwave in 3 minutes. They didn't have microwaves back then! Great taste that amazingly I don't get burned-out on. I bought two cases of 12 cans each and eat about one can/week and I always enjoy them. Can't beat the price. I want to have plenty of these available when society collapses and there is no more food available. LOL!

I love fresh homemade tamales, but cannot get them where I live. This has been my favorite substitute. I add some cheese and it becomes a satisfying meal on the quick. They have that homemade taste and the corn meal is spot on. love the taste, since I cannot do spicy, these provide enough for that Mexican flavor but never burning sensations

I get these every month. They're a great value and way more convenient than bringing home a bunch of heavy cans from the grocery store, plus they're priced better than the ones at the grocery store. The food itself is very tasty and extremely convenient as it's easy to prepare and versatile. I like to melt cheese on mine and add sour cream when I make them at home. I also used to use them regularly for lunch at work before I started working from home as it's very handy to just stick them in a microwave safe tupperware container, bring them along to work and then microwave them on break.

Consistent flavor. Have enjoyed for years. Eat cold out of can or heated in pot.

As a standalone meal item, these are a culinary abomination. They're wrapped in paper and are small, and seemed very glutinous. However, if you combine these with Hormel chili, as an additive to give us some thickening, these were great. What I do is put a can of these, peel off the paper wrapping, chop them a bit, and add them to a can of chili. It's a good filler.

I have eaten Hormel's canned tamales over most of my life & found them to be consistent in flavor. These are mild in the spicy catagory which is great for me. I like flavor of chilies without the heat. I find that anything with spicy hot chilies in them the flavor of the chilies gets lost & all I can taste is the spicy hotness while losing the actual flavor of the food. These tamales have a real beefy flavor while having a strong chili flavor without the heat.The price is consistent with my local grocery store but what drew me was that it was EBT aveailable for it. I live on a fixed income so was glad to get them with my card.

Hawaii doesn't have a lot of places to get good Tamales 🫔 I am reverting back to the good old days of the can tamales. I Love Hormel . Much better than poorly made tamales !!!
