Silhouette Cameo Pen Holder 2 with 3 Threaded Adapters - 1 Pack | Multi-Size Collet System for Standard Pens & Markers - Precision Sketch & Cut Tool Compatible with Silhouette Cameo Machines

I bought this a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I have tested it with thin markers, standard ballpoint pens, Pilot G2 pens (they have a rubber grip), and even a standard Sharpie. The holder comes with three different chucks, for lack of a better word, in small, medium, and large. You slip the pen into the appropriately-sized chuck, slide the pen into the holder until it touches the cap on the other end, then screw it in. When you screw it in, the 'fingers' tighten around the pen for stability. Insert into the machine's tool holder and sketch away!I use this to draw my standard bullet journal pages then glue-stick the pages into the journal. They come out perfect every time. If you're using multiple colors it is a bit tedious to remove the tool, unscrew the chuck, remove pen, insert next pen and align, secure chuck, and reinsert into the machine. That's not such a big deal when you consider you can use almost any pen of any size and you're not locked into using the stubby pens that Silhouette sells. The Silhouette pens are definitely easier to swap out - remove color A, insert color B - but I'm not sure how much ink is really in those and when you consider that you can buy a box of 60 stick pens for $5 from Amazon and the Silhouette sketch pens are a little over $1 each (based on MSRP of $19.99 for the 18-pen starter pack) it's a no-brainer that this accessory will pay for itself pretty easily.

Good purchase. The smallest size works with a standard Pilot stick pen, if that helps anyone decide. The BPS Fine made a beautiful, even, thin line. A Sharpie will start to go into the largest barrel, but it will not write because the tip of the marker won't go far enough down. These are good for what they're designed to do. You do not want to lose the tiny cap that sets the pen depth. My Silhouette is a Cameo 2.

It works with my silhouette Cameo 4, it fits with the blue insert. I have to learn how to work with the different sizes and shapes of the pens I have but I did try all of the different sizes and shapes and they all fit in the insert. I have to learn the correct placement of the pens due to different length on the tips. My microns have longer tips then the regular Bic, pentel, paper mate, and uni ball pens. All very different shapes and sizes yet they all fit, just have to figure out the correct placement of the pens but the adapter absolutely works, I recommend it.

The Silhouette Pen Holder has been a fantastic addition to my setup, letting me switch up my projects by using different types of pens in my Cameo. I’ve enjoyed testing out a range of ink and marker types for more custom designs that go beyond regular cutting. The holder is easy to adjust, fits securely, and has allowed me to personalize everything from cards to labels. It’s a simple but effective way to add versatility to my Silhouette machine, and I’m glad to have it in my toolkit!

this does NOT fit the newest Cameo 5. I searched specifically for the pen holder for the 5 and this came up. DONT PURCHASE IF YOU HAVE A CAMEO 5. It also does not have a clear cap which tells you if you have the pen far enough into the holder. I had these and used them on my original cameo and they worked fine. you just have to choose the right pen width and hope you have the pen in far enough

I was a little nervous to get this based on so many reviews that said it didnt work with their pens/markers, but I have used this thing several times and love it. It has worked with everything I have tried and helps to create some beautiful work. I really prefer using this with my own pens/markers over the silhouette pens because those ones run out of ink so quick and I don't love the way they look. The fine point sharpie markers work great with this and come in a ton of colors.

I've had my Cameo for a few years and never tried any writing with it. I got some good Pentel gel pens and I'm stunned at how easy this tool makes it to use them in my machine. I also had no idea all the different sketch effects you can do with the silhouette software. LOVE this. Perfect for addressing my wedding envelopes. Can't wait to find other uses for these.

I just received my Cameo II a few weeks ago and NEED to try out all of the accessories!! I really like this pen holder a lot - I tested it out with a white gel pen (Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point Gel Impact Pen White Ink, 3 pens per Pack (japan import) ) and it worked great! Comes with different size couplers to adapt to different pens. (The Signo pen took the medium/white coupler).I think, in general, this adapter should work with most ball point type pens, but probably not marker type pens. Not only must the pen fit down the top, but the writing point must fit through the smaller opening in the bottom. It comes with a small cap on the smaller bottom opening, this helps place the pen to the correct level while you're attaching the coupler.Neat design, and opens up the possibilities!Please click "yes" below if this review was helpful to you.

Do not buy this if you have a silhouette cameo 4 it doesn't work and it's trash.

This product is a must have if you like to use pens & markers in your crafting! I was able to do delicate font journaling right on my scrapbook paper with 100% satisfaction! I have rheumatoid arthritis and have a very hard time hand writing my own journaling and I don't want to print it out on a little card to add to the layout so this works perfectly, the writing is printed directly on the 12x12 cardstock base and is perfect every time, as long as you use spell check :-). This pen holder fits a multitude of writing instruments so I'm sure you will find it works with whatever you have.
