Fantastic!!!...I am a huge pepper fan and this is my favorite by far...it just completes food in a unique and tasty way...
I do not know if this is something Olde Thompson makes themselves or gets from an outside local vendor or what...but either way my God this stuff is FANTASTIC! I've purchased various mixes from various makers over the years and had some good pepper...but this stuff is my favorite by a landslide and I will be buying this from here on.I like pepper a lot. To me, it completes a meal. Health-wise, it's a lot better for you than most seasonings, and it can replace the less healthy seasonings. I like salt a lot too...now I use more pepper than salt and I think food tastes as good or better than before!Black peppercorn is great...but the other types of peppercorn in this stuff add a much more complex flavor, and a very interesting hint of spice. It isn't overpowering by any means, but it noticeable and very enjoyable as the flavor has the black pepper note, but with also light flavoring notes that are a little different. Especially on more bland food like scrambled eggs, the mix here is really going to shine. We tend to like spices because they make food taste better. When seasoned correctly, the right spices not only add to the flavor, but they bring out the good flavors in food. Much like a good extra virgin olive oil, this pepper does the same. A good piece of meat with olive or pecan oil, a small amount of salt, this pepper, perhaps a little paprika, and a tiny bit of fresh parsley/basil/garlic and you have a combination that results in a very 'pure' piece of meat that keeps its classic flavoring but with additional flavor notes...with steak it is amazing how much the steak flavor is amplified. With chicken and turkey, the end flavor is more complex, and the meat just more enjoyable to eat. If you make your own hummus, a tiny bit of this pepper and the hummus flavor is more bold. And for salads...this is the silver bullet. Salads are healthy but often just lack something. Grind some of this in a coarser size and oil/oil & vinegar/oil & wine dressings become so much more flavorful. Add some honey roasted sunflower kernels and craisens and salads ain't too shabby! Oh and tomato sandwiches...tomato never tasted so good! I could go on but I will stop. The only thing I would advise is using your peppercorn grinder to grind this around the time of consumption rather than grinding a lot and storing it, and something like the OXO that allows you to adjust how fine-coarse the peppercorn is ground into. The reason is that I think freshly ground pepper has a noticeably better and more pronounced taste than something ground a while back. Also, certain foods taste better with coarse and others fine ground pepper. I tend to like more coarse ground as I think the flavor has a slower onset with a lesser intensity but lasts longer...but that's just me. With that said, most people I know who try this stuff do develop a preference for a certain degree of fine/coarse, so grinding it when you eat allows you to ensure it is fresh and in the form you want it to.It isn't cheap, but you won't regret it and 10oz makes a LOT of pepper. The positive impact it will make on food justifies its price multiple times over from how I see it! As an added bonus, the jar it comes in is a really nice container for storing whatever you may need a nice glass jar for!

Beautiful and Spicy
First, I must admit that I've always used black pepper, and no other, so it will probably take me a while to adjust to the different taste. It's loaded with flavors I'm unfamiliar with, but I like the layers of flavor it adds. Mine is fresh and has a nice scent, and the colors are beautiful!Unlike some of the reviews from people who ended up with way more black than the other colors in the mixture, my bottle seems really well sorted with the variety of peppercorns. One of them is spicier than I expected so for me, I won't use as much pepper as I usually do. I love flavors, but prefer less heat, however, for people who like heat , this might seem mild, so maybe you should just ignore my opinion on that. 😉I love the bottle/jar! It's just beautiful and will be fun to reuse in other ways. The cork fits snuggly, yet is easy to remove and replace. I'm sure it adds to the price tag, but I think it's worth it.I'm happy with my purchase, and will buy again.

If you like pepper on your food you need to try this blend
We have been using this blend for about a year and a half, and like I said if you like pepper on your food I think you'll love this stuff. Its got a nice mixture of black, red, white or pink and has an awesome taste, this is not the junk in a can it is fresh pepper corns you grind yourself and what a difference. Have tried on everything and what a difference in taste from the can, will never go back. This comes in a nice glass bottle with resealable cork top to keep fresh. I love this pepper on eggs , meat , fish and chicken. You will be happy with taste, price and freshness.

Used for Several Years. Never Disappointed.
While I really like the container (heavy glass bottle with cork)All I can really say is that I’ve used this pepper … and ONLY this pepper … for over 15 years and have Never been Disappointed and I am a Spice Snob. The blend of peppercorns (berries) allows for a clear and strong Black Pepper taste with Several Subtle Accents.Buy a good, high quality grinder with a high carbon or stainless grinding mechanism … Thompson features several.

Pricey but worth it
I’ve tried several peppercorn options and keep coming back to Old Thompson. The mix is very even and tastes great. Beautiful packaging too. A bit pricey compared to other options, but worth it.

I'll never buy peppercorns from the grocery store again...
...At least as long as I can order this jar! The pepper tastes so much better than even the "gourmet" peppercorns from the grocery store. And a generous amount of green pepper in this mix really spices things up nicely. The price tag is very fair - I think I'm spending about 15-25% of what I would normally spend, buying it by-the-ounce at the grocery store! Fantastic product, give it a try, if you have a grinder at home!

Great blend, not Peugeot pepper mill friendly.
Superb pepper, doesn’t appear to be Peugeot pepper mill friendly. Good mix of peppercorns with a great taste. Unfortunately, this blend isn’t working well in either of my mills. I have the olive wood and enamel set of Peugeot pepper mills. I’ve never had a issue with either mill. This blend, will grind for a few grinds then stop feeding. If I shake the mill or bang it on the counter, sometimes it will grind again. This is to no fault to Olde Thompson. I just want to inform anyone who has similar mills As me that this product may not work the best

Best pepper mix EVER. Definitely deserves the name pepper supreme.
Excellent freshly grind on steak! Excellent on anything really. I've been buying this for years. Hands down THE best peppercorn mix. The quality is always fresh. Great ratio of black pepper to green/red/white. Love the glass jar and the cork.
