PROS:1. The remotes have quite a decent range, operating reliably across the house.2. They easily are programmable to respond to any button pair on any remote (button pair = on and off buttons). Programming can be erased so you can start fresh.3. Adding this as an additional pro because it's so unexpected. Each outlet can be programmed to respond to at least 20 button pairs. (I bought two sets, so 4 remotes and 10 outlets.) I was curious how many buttons could be programmed on one outlet, so I tested. It pairs and responds to all 20 button pairs that I have on the all the remotes. (4 remotes, 5 pairs each.) I don't know what the limit is, but I really like this feature.CONS:1. At close and mid range (within about 15 feet, from as far as I can tell) sometimes the outlet does not respond. So far, moving the remote around, or putting my body in the way of the signal has gotten the outlet to respond. . . so far.Hunch: the transmitter outputs a strong signal, beyond what the receiver can reliably process at close or mid range, so sometimes it does not respond correctly. I say this because at a distance over 20 feet and through all of my walls they are much more reliable than they are at close range. Some receivers appear to be more sensitive to this than others.2. Disappointingly, it does not appear that additional remotes are available to purchase, despite each outlet being fully capable of being controlled by at least 20 different button pairs, from at least 4 individual remotes. If you want more remotes, I guess you'll have to buy more complete sets. If I could get another pair of remotes for $10 I absolutely would (maybe I would buy 4 more) but I surely will not buy additional sets purely for the remotes.CONCLUSIONS:1. I'm really quite happy with this purchase, which is why I got the second set.2. There are a couple of opportunities for Dewenwils to make them even better.If something changes I'll come back and add more under this sentence. I might even come back after a while just to report everything remains the same after some period of time.Side note about this amazon listing: Strangely, features to rate in this review include "wifi" and "waterproof." These remote controlled outlets are NOT wifi enabled, and they are NOT waterproof.

We bought one of these plug ins …. And came back and bought more. We have used a clapper…. hated that… but we can turn off and on lights with a click. I don’t even have to enter that room. It saves me time and footsteps. Well made, good quality… and we would recommend them to everyone!

I use this in my living room for a lamp and two strings of Christmas lights and it is amazing! I no longer have to walk around the living room unplugging each chord individually. Highly recommend!

I have a living room that lacks overhead lighting, so I use a few lamps, but it is a pain to turn them on individually. One outlet is on a switch, so I was looking for a solution that would tie all the outlets to that one switch wirelessly, but couldn't find such a creature.This product was plan B, and works great, except I use the remote instead of the switch. And unlike other similar products, it does not take up both outlets.I'd give it 4 stars, but the connection between the remote and outlets could be better. Sometimes takes a few tries for all the outlets to activate. Still, a lot better than turning them all on by hand.

I have previously bought a different brand that was very bulking and took up a lot of outlet room. I love that I can plug these in and still use the other outlet. They are very easy to program. The remote works fairly well through walls.I have two upstairs and two downstairs right now. As long as I’m sitting under the room with the plugs the ones upstairs are fairly reliable to turn on and off. They will work even when in another room, just not as reliably. Currently I have my Christmas lights plugged in and it’s a great time saver turning them on and off. I generally have lamps plugged in to my old ones.My old ones (different brand) have a remote that looks exactly the same so I tried to see if they would work together. Using the old remote I can program it to the new plugs however the on is off and off is on. It’s quickly but I could set it up like that if I wanted to take the time and remember. I was unable to get the old plugs to work with the new control even though it looks like it is going to work when you try to program it.I believe Instead of making it work I’m just going to by more of theses. It will free up outlets!

Purchased Dec 10, 2022. So far no issues, also it is small enough to go into top or bottom socket to enable use of the other other socket including a 3 prong socket.

This looks like a very nice rf remote control kit. Fit and finish was very good. It came already paired and configured to work right out of the box. The issue is the remote control link. It is very inconsistent. It will work sometime and not other times, with the remote to plug at the same position. I was planning on using this to remotely power cycle my modem and router when they go bonier. These equipment is downstairs with only one wood floor between them. Line of sight distance is about 15 feet max so not that far distance wise and blockage wise. When I tested the control link, it only worked about 70% of the time or so. Since you can’t see the power go out and on, you can’t be sure of the cycling. This is not good. I don’t know if the issue is with the remote or the plug but I think as a overall system, it is lacking. Would not recommend.

Previous to this I've bought the etekcity remote plugs several times but those were unavailable when I needed more so I've tried these one. Comparatively I prefer the previous ones over these even though the plugs themselves were a lot more bulky.The range on these can be hit and miss. I'm used to just pushing the remote button and the switch going on and off wherever it is in the house. With these I find you sometimes can't use them from another room and you often have to point the remote toward the plug. It's not a deal breaker though just somewhat inconvenient. Would still recommend if you are looking for non-bluetooth remote plugs.

Bought to replace our 10yr old set. The instructions weren’t great for programming the remotes, but the worst is the range. With my old remote system I could push a button on the remote and the receiver would do as asked, with this new one I have to physically pick up and push and push to get the two to talk. I use this for the lamps in my living room. Would never buy again, buut it does actually work I guess hence the 3 stars

2 remotes works great! I found out pointing the remote to the ceiling gives the best result for receivers hidden behind furniture. Room for improvement: 5 on/off toggles will work better than 10 buttons. A little bump or recess at one end of the remote to prevent holding the remote up-side-down when operating in the dark - that little red LED is too dim to help.

PROS:Easy to install. Each wall plug is numbered to match the remote. Plug and play. Great range.CONS:Sometimes glitches and doesn't respond to the remote.OVERALL:Pretty good, easy to use.Would recommend.
