This arrived just in time!! I have back problems when it starts to get cold and the best thing that seems to help is a hot and cold mixture. I have ice and ice packs for cold and for warm I use rice bags! Lol I have some cloth bags that have rice that I microwave and then use on my back! This is something that my wife taught me and it works, but it’s definitely a hassle! So when I saw this shoulder heating pad, I decided to give it a go.The pad is very very easy to use! It 18x25 and cover your back, shoulders, neck, legs, and waist perfectly! The pad has three large general spots of heat and they have 3 heat settings. You can cycle from low, medium, and high! The high setting is very very hot! Comfortable and bearable, but hot!! I put it on my back and after a couple minutes had to turn it down! I had it to the back of a leather couch which got extremely hot to the touch!The first couple of times I used this, it had a very funny, plastic burning smell. This seemed to be a normal habit with items that get hot quickly. After a couple of uses the smell went down. Overall this is a great pad! It has multiple uses, great coverage, and helps with relief. I bought it for myself and my wife ended up using it for comfort while she’s on her period!!

Are you like me? Back hurts so bad that you just want to scream? It's really nothing to joke about. I had an old heating pad...I thought it worked perfectly except for the fact that it "bunched" up in its cover & it was like fighting with yourself to get it back into shape after its cooled off. I decided to go for a new heating pad. Now I'm from the generation that "more is better" but that is not always true. My doctor had a long talk with me as to why burning hot heating pads do not help my poor back (I will spare you the gruesome details) I got this & its been a love affair from the beginning. Most importantly, it doesn't "bunch"! It also doesn't get as hot as you may wish it to but as my physician scolded me...it gets as hot as it should to help the aches & pains. Yes, there is such a thing as too hot. I like the automatic shut off the best. I didn't need a heating pad as much as I was using it, especially if I fall asleep. I find this one to be just right...a little extra room so I don't have to spend minutes getting it just right on my back...its light enough & shaped just right if I'd like to use it for a sore shoulder & its work out great & its soft on both sides so there is no wrong way. Need a new heating pad? This could be it.

So I have to take an electric blanket any time I travel. I also use one at home every night. In the past, I bought a twin bed sized electric blanket and packed it into my suitcase. However, even a twin sized blanket takes up a ton of room in luggage. So...I ordered this. While the size is significantly better than lugging around a twin sized blanket, two things:-it is very small and would really only work as either a blanket or a full-body throw for someone less than 5 feet tall.-it does get warm but nothing like the heat produced by my [past and current] electric blankets.-it only stays warm for 4 hours (electric blankets usually have timers ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours).Im going to keep it because it is a more manageable size and because its warm enough that I can fall asleep (I hate cold beds and freezer-style air conditioned hotel rooms), but it is about a foot too small, I'd like it to get warmer and I'd like it to stay heated longer. It is soft so thats good but it does shed a bit. Hopefully it wont shed after another washing.
