LAVENDERLISHES
I've used essential oils for many years from different companies and this is one of my favorites. I substitute essential oils for a lot of the toxic cleaners that I was using years ago. For instance I spray some on the wooden floors with a hot damp mop, it works well in my diffuser to help keep flying bugs away ( I combine it with eucalyptus and lemongrass oils also), A piece of cotton with some oil goes in my vacuum cleaner and fills the air with a sweet smell of lavender and I fill a small spay bottle with the above oils plus essential peppermint oil to help keep crawling critters out of my drawers and food cabinets. All of the oils that I mentioned I also purchased from the NOW company. Happy with my purchases from them.

quality as expected, smell and performs as it should, good for bug repellant
NOW brand 100% pure citronella (cymbopogon winterianus) is steam distilled from fresh and dried citronella grass. I bought it for use in making a mosquito repellent (plenty of recipes online. Most all basically use a few essential oils, some vodka to preserve, some water, witch hazel, a splash of oil- all in a bottle and shaken up to mix). I spray it on my body, my clothes, around the area I am hanging out in (on lawn furniture, grass, umbrella, etc)-- all to help reduce the mosquito population at that time. I don't want to use DEET for daily use, as I am outside a lot with my dogs, and I don't want to come in and track that all inside. Using citronella as well as lemon eucalyptus for bug repelling, and a few others for additional aroma, is much preferred.I purchased the 4 ounce amber glass bottle with screw on lid. Some other purchasing choices on the page include a glass or plastic pipette. So keep that in mind if you are purchasing this style and size- you will want a pipette or something if you don't already have one. I have several, so it was of no concern to me. Thought you may find that bit of information helpful though.

I'm giving this 5 stars for size & smell only. a misquito drowned in it.....not a good sign. (should repel, not attract)
I'm giving this 5 stars for size & smell only. However, I put several drops in a plastic throw a way cup & set beside me on the porch, and later, a mosquito had drowned in it. Now, that tells me he/she was attracted to it, instead of revolted by the smell. Also, the pesky things still bit me- sitting right next to it.I started using a DIFUSER with few drops of this, Lemongrass & cinnamon or peppermint, and aimed it right at my chair on porch. That works pretty good. Still got a bite or two on feet- so had to spray feet with natural mosquito repellant. There is a pond next door to us, and we have some low laying land, so draws more misquotes that some places.

Strong smell
It helps keep the bugs away but it's strong.

Works great to repel ticks, chiggers & mosquitos.
Have used it full strength, topically on exposed arms, ankles & clothing for years.Use liberally. However,IF you have sensitive skin mix 50-50 with any "essential oil".A proven repellent with no DEET or other poison.Very fair price for excellent quality product.

A great repellant for gnats, flies, or mosquitoes
I have purchased this bottle of Citronella Oil three times now. I learned it is a scent that gnats, flies, or mosquitoes do NOT like. I live in a very large apartment complex where the breezeways can have such. I do not want those things in my home at all, not even one. This product has made that possible. Gnats and Fruit Flies can even get into your home through your drains if you leave them open. All you need to do is to saturate a cotton pad or cotton ball with this Citronella Oil, and keep at least one of them in every room of your home, or you can put the oil into glass bottles with bamboo reeds in it and keep turning the reeds upside down every day so the scent stays constant in your home. It is a lemony scent so not unpleasant at all. I have even dabbed a bit of the oil on myself when I go outside to keep pests away from me. You can also make a room fragrance spray for your home by using an 8 oz. spray bottle full of water with a capful of this Now Citronella essential oil mixed into the water. Pests like mice or spiders do not like Peppermint Oil or lizards and snakes are repelled with Clove Oil, but Citronella Oil works best to repel gnats, flies, or mosquitoes.

fresh and clean
i'm in love w this fragrance. it's a cross between everything citrus. i put several drops in all of my lotions. it's the only fragrance i use, because of allergies. with this, i can smell fresh and delightful and not have bugs attack me. i put this on a swab and outline my outside doors where bugs wait to be swooped in. the price for this bottle means i'll have it for years. a little goes a long, long way. if you buy it, you have your reasons. these are mine.
