This review is for the play gym version:We have two friends who have nugget couches and I've been wanting to invest in one for a couple years now. We finally decided to buy one for Christmas but I wanted to look for a more affordable option without sacrificing quality too much. After looking through a ton of different brands, I landed on this one and I'm SO glad we ended up with this. Here's why I firmly believe it's hands down better than the nugget -- for one, it's thicker and more durable. It's built to be more of a play structure rather than just a couch that can be shaped into a fort. With the nugget, yes, you can make a slide but it's flimsy and you can only make it one size unless you have two nuggets. And even with two nuggets (like one of my friends has), the slide bends with the weight of the child. With the play gym, not only is it a solid slide but it actually has material on one side that makes it easier to slide down. The play gym also has thicker pieces than the nugget which makes it way more durable for different forts and set ups. You're not dealing with walls that cave in or bend like you do with the nugget. And because of that durability, you can make way cooler structures with this than you can with the nugget. It's just all around a LOT more open for creative freedom and way more versatile and fun. It's so sturdy even my husband and I can play on it too! Lol I also love the green color and it's extremely comfortable. I'm currently very pregnant and it still passes the comfy test. It shaped up very quickly as well. It's been out for 48 hours now and almost all the wrinkles are gone. I think the manufacturing states 72 hours or something like that. It does not have any weird smells at all. Amd I love that unlike many of the off brand couches, the play gym doesn't have a bunch of extra unnecessary pieces. Every single piece serves multiple purposes and you can do so much with the couch without all the extra mess and hassle of setting up a bunch of different parts. And of course, in its most basic form, it makes a wonderful kids couch. The size is great. I was worried it'd be a lot smaller than I expected but it's not. It'll grow with my daughter for many, many years to come. HIGHLY recommend.

My kids love playing with this and it’s way cheaper than the nugget. My senior dog who is very picky about beds also loves to steal this thing to sleep on it lol. It’s firm but still comfy, and seems like very good quality. (Also makes a good dog bed for arthritic dogs)

I purchased a different modular couch and was so disappointed. This couch is far superior in build and fabric quality. The cushions are soft enough that they feel nice to touch but strong enough to stand up to kids being rough. I’ve washed them a few times and they’ve done well. I haven’t put them through the drier for fear of shrinking them but they did well in the wash and then air drying-they air dry pretty fast! The color was true to the picture and I appreciate that the zipper is the same color. My 3.5 yo loves it and as a sensory seeker he makes really great use of it. There wasn’t any weird smell out of the box which was nice too. The size was as expected from the pictures. Overall so happy with it!

This is a wonderful product for kids. I bought this for my grandchildren and they love it. They use the 2 mats to sleep on. They make forts , they do gymnastics, they put the end of 1 mat on a couch then slide down the mat. They also sit in these and play video games. The 2 triangles are very sturdy and make a wonderful back support. I'm always amazed at the new ways the kids transform this sofa couch into so many different things. The product is sturdy but the material is soft and the mats are soft. This is definitely worth the money!

My kids love this addition to their play couch! It expanded quickly to shape out of the box, and the quality seems good so far. I only docked one star because it will not stay up when you position it horizontally like the “defense turret” shown in the photos. It sways and falls flat. So overall, it makes for a great castle wall, but it has to be supported with other objects if you want to configure it in other ways.

I bought this for my kid’s playroom and we all love it. My son, husband and I build forts with it, relax in it and use it as bases when the “floor is lava.” The cushions are easy to move around and create different structures that are demonstrated on the pamphlet. While it is a great size, I definitely want to add more pieces to it eventually. I think it is the perfect balance of soft and firm, making it cozy but sturdy. The zippers work great and the color is a perfect gray blue. I would definitely recommend as a cheaper alternative to the pricey nugget couch.

Durable and just as good as the expensive name brand ones. Covers are easy to remove for wash. They are durable and withstand my toddlers.

We’ve had these 18 months, and they have grown so well with our toddler. Our crawler loved practicing with the stairs, and as a 2.5 year old, he still loves the slide and loves making a “comfy couch” for movie nights. We haven’t had any major spills and haven’t needed to wash the covers yet (maybe I should? Meh). They’re a pain to store because they’re big, but we honestly leave it stacked in our living room since they come out with any kids visiting. The big piece also works as a makeshift bed for visiting kids up to the age of 7.We’ve also had a growing puppy (now 50lb collie mutt) who loves running up and down the slide and sitting on her “throne.” No nail punctures, no problems.
