National Artcraft 6" Water Globe Kit with Unfinished Birch Wood Base and Snow Flakes (Pkg/3)

Nice quality on glass and base. I tried many times many different way to work the gasket into the glass globe.The gasket will take some work to fit in however I was concerned with not getting the rubber gasket to remain flat where you would glue the figurines to. I used another manufacturers plastic globe with this base included.

Had the most trouble trying to actually find a DIY snowglobe kit online and in stores. This was the only seller who had these available and I decided to go with it.The size of the item is enormous, it stands to about 7 inches tall with the base and is quite heavy when completed with water. Just something to take into account.The only problem with the item is that it is very difficult to keep the ornament on the rubber base with epoxy. I do not suggest freezing the base as it makes the ornament more likely to fall off.Makes an EXTREMELY beautiful giftOther objects needed to complete the snowglobe:-Silicon adhesive to make the base/globe waterproof and to stick the globe to the base-Glitter comes with it but you can add crushed eggshells to make it double snowy-Glycerine to make the glitter fall really slow in the snowglobe-Epoxy, but I would recommend trying contact cement as I heard that it may work betterAmazing product to serve as a basis for your snowglobe!

it was packed in checked luggage and although it didn't seem like any water leaked out, there was a big bubble after unpacking it at the destination. Now I have to dissassamble pack and reassemble which was a pain.

Snow bits and adhesive were not included as described. Globe and base are beautiful.

These are beautiful globes they don't look cheap and they're larger than a typical snowglobe. I bought two for this coming Christmas to make as gifts, it comes with everything as pictured besides the sealant and a few tiny screws you will need to hold in the base.The wooden piece is hollowed out so you can fit a music box inside and the bottom piece to hold in the music box is drilled with varying sizes of holes to accommodate a range of music box cranks/winders.It comes well packaged to prevent breakage during shipment, I definitely recommend these.

The only reason it got 4 stars is it didn’t come with everything as advertised... only got globe gasket and base... however, the globe is beautiful!!! It was perfect for my project

My globe did not come with the snow, but I just used my own glitter and a touch of glycerin in the water. I did manage to get an object stuck to the base using velcro pads. Worked like magic, so as long as the glue on the velcro doesn't dissolve, I think it's a good solution to being able to attach something to the base!

My sister was speechless when I gave her this as a Christmas present this years. I had never attempted one of these before and was a little intimidated, but followed the instructions right down to the letter. I was never able to get out all the air bubbles, but knew that was a possibility as per the instructions.I have attached a picture of the finished product. I made the copper label on it myself and it was easy to attach to the base with a few small screws. Making my next one should be a little easier.
