would a child's dummy fit inside these pots?

No its way to small. I used a small square pot I bought from the poundshop/99p store, which came in a pack of 10 , for my son's dummy. I would sterilise the pot will boiling water because they could not be microwaved. X

Approx 3.5cm high and 4.7cm across including the lid.

Would these work for storing baby food or would they be to small?

They are quite small, probably too small for a full portion of baby food unless it's during weaning. You could use more than one tub I suppose (mashed potato in one, puree carrot in another) but even with all 4 tubs I don't think it would be equivalent to a full baby meal portion. If you use any sort of sauce or gravy with your baby foods then these would be perfect to transport that as they seal up very well with no leaks.
