Two large dogs, and surrounded by Moorland, and rough farmland. Ours dogs inevitably come back from their walks with bits of bramble, mud and debris in their coats. Can be a nightmare as the Setter hates being brushed. Our Lab has a thick double coat and thankfully enjoys being brushed and pampered. After a number of years dealing with matted and knotted coats (despite our best efforts) this dematting rake is a revelation. Gentle and so easy to use on both dogs. Even the Setter is very happy that we have purchased this high quality rake, and is looking so very smart now.This is a brilliant tool, and works a treat. Matted hair, and knots are no longer a problem.I have also purchased another rake for our daughters Beardie Collie who lives on a farm. It is just fantastic for keeping her in tip top condition.I highly recommend this rake to everyone, no matter what breed of hairy chum you have. You will not regret your purchase.

Tricky one this. its a good quality product with a gel handle that I cant stop playing with. I've got some real clumps of fur on my Persian cat and although this does de clump the dead hair, my cat wont stay still long enough. lolUpdate.......Well it's been nearly a year since purchase.Overall they are better than the average cat brush, but at some point i got a tiny hole in the handle, and now most of the gel had come out.They can't ready get rid of huge clumps of fur. I still need to use scissors.I would say that they are possibly a little over priced.

The comb works very well and removes a lot of excess hair, unfortunately, one of my dogs doesn't like it but she doesn't like any other brush or comb I have tried. The other dog is fine with it but her hair doesn't get as matted as the awkward one's. The comb is fine, it is my dog who is the problem

Does what it says very well. I have a persian cat and this is the first product that has helped with the menace of daily brushing. Unlike other brushes I feel the design helps remove excess hair better and my cat has never looked better after. The grip is soft and comfortable. I am still confused about the real difference between the two sides of the rake, either seems to do the job but I guess this may be more evident for larger pets. This is a recommended Buy from my perspective.

Not bought for myself but for someone else who has described it as "the best gadget we've ever bought!"With a dog with an undercoat that could knot in a vacuum other grooming combs have done nothing but tug at the matting causing the dog distress. Not this, with its sharpened comb blades it really does what it says on the packet.Dog's coat is looking really good now and the seller "Go Pets" have been in contact to make sure everything going well.So recommend bother the product and the seller

Very good,but my longer haired dog wasn't too happy

It's a good product. Of course my little puppy won't come near me when I'm holding it. It would be great to have a smaller one perhaps as it's a little wide for a small dog. It does the trick but I wasn't holding the fur close enough to her skin whilst dragging through so it pulled a little on her, causing her fuss. I'll still give it full marks as that's my fault, not theirs.

I bought this three months ago in frustration and desperation. My cat has a dense furry coat and it was becoming impossible to maintain it. It doesn’t help that she hates having her hair brushed, combed or even touched. It was so bad we had to wait until she was a sleep and sneak in with scissors to cut out the mats. Anyway, even though she still hates being brushed, the GoPets Dematting Rake has made no end of difference to the condition of her coat. I realised ( during today’s fight) that she has no mats in her coat and this is a first for us and despite coming through the end of winter into summer. I use it every day until the squirming and hissing is intolerable, this is less than a minute. I’m so impressed and pleased that I thought to come back and give a review. This brush/rake gets a “highly recommended” from me.
