I LOVE this and I chose it over the 4K+ reviews for the Genie.
Honestly, I am beyond thrilled with this opener. I was able to find an HONEST person to install it that did not want to overcharge me to tighten the springs, tell me they needed replacing, (they are only 9 months old) or tell me I needed a 'tune-up' Keep quiet and listen to your installer. This way you can weed out the ones trying to rip you off.The opener is QUIET. I transitioned from a louder chain driven opener. I love that I have more options, and they work too. Dogs never bark at the opener anymore. It's too quiet I suppose so they don't notice it. Because they no longer bark, I am no longer yelling at them to stop barking. The house is definitely more peaceful. The keypad does not have the same issue when hitting the * or # key that you have to reprogram it like their click2 version does. I love that this has a battery backup for when the summer storms are here and we get power outages. I wish Chamberlain had added Alexa to this, but there are workarounds you can find online if you need this to work with Alexa. If there are any issues with this, I will update. For some reason, installers like to install Chamberlain over Genie from what they have said.I ordered the version that uses the DC motor, has the battery back up, and 1 overhead light. The other version in this listing uses an AC motor and does NOT have the battery back up and has 2 overhead lights. Both systems are belt driven. DC motors use less energy so I suppose that is the reason it can even have a battery backup. The battery can by replaced easily when needed and it's only $30, sold BY Amazon, compared to $100 if you were considering Genie's GDO with their battery backup. The maintenance is much less here with the Chamberlain. After having this installed a few weeks ago, I really do not have a desire to have this connected to Alexa. I have a standard 2 car garage with 1 very heavy metal Clopay door. Works great! I had zero issues connecting this to my wifi and iphone. I get notifications every time it opens/closes and I have used the app to close the door instead of bothering my neighbors to check for me if I forgot. Lifesaver. When the summer storms roll around and the power goes out, I will not be left sitting in my car locked in or out of the house. My garage is the only door we use to enter and exit. The front door is only used to get Amazon deliveries off the porch.

Really impressive opener with lots of useful features
Really am enjoying this new opener - especially how quiet it operates. Costs more than chain drive - but totally worth the extra cost considering it could last 10 years (if the belt holds up). Also like the slow-down movement at the end of the open or close cycle. That's very nice. Installation is straight forward with no major challenges. It just takes time to assemble and fine tune everything, but it can actually be installed with no other help. Just needed a ladder to hold the motor while the track was pinned in place. Remote openers work right off the bat - no programming other than to put a code in the outside remote. Cannot get the phone app to work because it forces me to put my mesh router into pairing mode and I don't want to mess with that since other devices are connected already. Why does it need pairing mode? It sees my network, I enter the password, that's it. Connect already! The feature is supposed to be nice for deliveries but nobody is coming in my garage when I'm away so the feature is useless to me. Conclusion - belt drive is the only way to go!

Replaced an existing chamberlain
Easy to install, replaced an existing one so only changed the motor and rail assembly. The old chamberlain’s button didn’t work so also had to use the one that came with this one. But the sensors etc all worked. Connection to wifi and app was easy and straight forward. Connecting two cars to this was also easy. Shared the app with my wife and we both have full access on our phones. Low noise and smooth operation. Motor sloes down at both ends of the trip to make it a smoother stop or start. Very nice indeed.

Easy to assemble and mount using BILT App
Well, you need some patience to mount these things, it’s the third or fourth I’ve replaced in 30 years. I used five hours from start to finish.I used the BILT app which facilitated all instead of just reading the manual. Everything went together and functioned at the first try. I had read a review that said the up and down travel adjustments were problematic, however for me they were easy and maybe better than whatever we were using before. The belt drive is definitely quieter than the old screw drive, however you still know when someone has opened the door. Also with the myQ app you can open the door using your cell phone. The two included remotes plus the keypad remote worked great and function at a greater distance than whatever I’ve had before.Lastly, and unfortunately, I couldn’t get the unit to link up with my car’s built-in remotes. Maybe I’ll try again but nothing seemed to work. I guess I’ll call tech support. If I had to install another opener tomorrow, I’d buy the same one 😉

Great product, terrible instructions
I bought this unit to replace my 15+ yo opener. Once set up, this system is fantastic: quiet, quick, efficient, and it seems durable. Not to put too fine a point on this… I’ve installed systems like this 2-3 times, but over the course of 25-30 years (not on a daily basis). I’ve made a living writing and editing technical documentation for about as long, but daily. Trying to follow the instructions was a chore… inconsistent names for parts; figures rendered almost useless due to perspective, orientation, or size; information provided out of sequence; tiny font and missing spaces. It took me several hours to install the components. My suggestion is to find a video or (if you feel comfortable doing it) assemble the system with minimal reference to the manual. (My apologies to Craftsman/Chamberlain hardware writers… just describing my experience.)

Great system, love the remote notifications
I installed this system over a year ago and have been very pleased. Installation was simple. Operation is much more quiet than the old chain unit I replaced. My favorite thing is the wifi connectivity. I get alerts whenever my garage door is opened or closed, and I can close it remotely. There have been a few times that either my kids didn't close the door or something tripped the sensor when I was leaving and being able to close it remotely is very helpful.
