Tiling made easy
I've just done a whole bathroom in 600mmx300mm porcelain tiles with 2mm grout line and the alignment needed to be spot on. The Bosch PLL360 made this job simple and easy without the need to mark initial V and H lines. The accuracy of this tool was adequately demonstrated in that all the tiles went into place easily and square to each other in a brick pattern. The tool was invaluable to ensure the vertical "brick" lines were maintained between alternate layers. I also used the tool to align the floor lines with the wall! The small stand supplied allowed the alignment of the floor lines and the initial floor level wall tiles. The result was the best tiling I have ever done! I liked the fact that the tool only generated the lines when it was level enough on its mount. The laser swings about when adjusting height or vertical position, but settles fairly quickly and it can also swing about depending on the flexibility of the floor or mounting surface. But I did not find this too much of a problem. I look forward to my next project with this tool! I completed the whole bathroom well within the life of one set of batteries by using the tool for initial alignment, whilst tiling and when setting the start of each of the 4 walls. Great bit of kit and a reasonable price for what it does!

Easy to use, feels solid.
Slightly larger than its counterparts but feels solid. The small bag is a nice touch to help stop it getting damaged. Laser is very bright and clear, tripod works really well. Not the most robust tripod but will do the job. The turn handle is very useful to be able to adjust height very slowly in very small amounts.

Good laser - worth the money
The only 2 small things that I would consider niggles are:1. When mounted on tripod, moving the laser small amounts is difficult as the movement on the tripod tends to judder. So getting an vertical line in exactly the right spot takes some trial and error.2. The laser body has a hook on the base, but there is no way to use the tripod with this hook as the tripod mount does not have a reciprocal attachment so using the laser for horizontal lines below 2 foot off the floor cannot be done with the tripod. However, overall I have used it in two bathrooms to get completely accurately mounted tiles around a room and would not attempt tiling anymore with just a spirit level.

Ideal for tiling
Good for DIY. Use a pencil to mark along the laser line, then join up the marks.Use a long level to drawn in line. The tripod is not a strong like a photographer would use, but it does the job.Adjust tripod to below the height of desired line and wind it up to your mark on the wall.Rather than trying to adjust the legs bit by bit to the mark. For vertical lines you need to move it bodily. Try and place it perpendicular to wall. For indoors only. Draw the curtains if too bright.Watch out if you have boxing around your pipes the lines are distorted.Used it to mark the batten for the first tile level.

Bosch PPL 360
Ok for basic home use. The laser line brightness is feeble and indoors on a bright day you will need to close the curtains to see it well enough to be of use. Useless outdoors. I did manage to use it for my need to get a straight line along the floor to lay tiles in the kitchen, but only by closing off as much light as possible. Tripod is lightweight and easily moved by the lightest of touches. Lock feature is useful and battery life seems good, but the other shortcomings are a big let down. Went for Bosch as have had good stuff from this brand in the past but could not recommend this to anyone in good faith. Worth about £50 not +£100. If you don't need one in a hurry, buy a more professional one if you can afford it or second hand off Ebay, this DIY model is not worth it.

Very versatile and a must for Interior Decoration
This thing is brilliant. I was a bit not sure when I dished out significant money for a fake line in the wall, but after my second hanging, I just realised what a sound investment this is. Everything I hang, looks PERFECT and when you want to put multiple things in the wall, this ensures Precision alignment without having to hassle with pencil marks and all other rubbish...

the 360 Degree function was fantastic for the project
Used this to construct a circular floor in a large auditorium, as a joiner l was very impressed with its range, ease of use & just how bright the laser was in itself, the 360 Degree function was fantastic for the project, it was set each day with no discrepancies from the previous day bang on every time fantastic piece of equipment a brilliant bit of kit at a very reasonable price.

Really good laser level
This is a very good 360 degree laser level, ideal for ensuring that anything you hang on a wall is all at a consistent level. Its principal target is a cross, meaning that it can throw a vertical line up across the wall and ceiling, at the same time as a horizontal line through 360 degrees. It can also be locked to operate at angles i.e. to fit a bannister. The unit comes with a mini "tripod" and has a standard 1/4" screw on the base, allowing it to be mounted on any standard camera tripod. It should be noted that while it is perfect for indoor use, it's not designed for outdoors as the light is invisible outside.
