GRO Sure Seed and Cutting Compost 10L by Westland

Not fit for purpose!!!
This is Westland's idea of super fine grade Seed &Cutting Compost. I'm not impressed at all, I bought 2 bags of this stuff for my seeds and both were the same. This looks like compost that's been used and now recycled. It's shockingly bad. There's no way a seed is going to get through this stuff. Avoid at all costs. It's going to cost more to send it back than it did to buy the bags. What's the point!!!

Good Stuff - let's grow
Good quality soft compost - expensive but ideal for tender tiny seeds - just sown them, so time will tell but so far so good.Update: this is good stuff, but I would advise shopping around, bought 2x20ltr bags of same stuff for £8 from local Homebase store - so you are actually paying for shipping from online suppliers, even if it says 'free shipping' on the page.

Good Quality Compost
I used this compost for my cuttings from the garden, within six weeks they had roots and are now in pots using more of this compost. There was enough for my propagator and six small pots, with still some left over.My plants are growing and look healthy. This is a handy size bag and easy to lift.Good quality compost. I would recommend.

Good product but high price
Excellent product but half the price in local B&Q.

Fingers crossed.
Arrived very quickly from Westland, after my first order from first supplier was cancelled without explanation. Have used it for seed planting in my 2 propagators. Hope I get better results this year as my first attempt at growing plants from seed last year did very poorly. Only got about 20 odd plants from the 98 off seeds sown. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, so hopefully this compost will yield me some nice flower plants. Fingers crossed.

Great for Chrysanthemum Seeds
Used a bag of this on top of top soil in a large pot outside then water then seeds then 1" top soil. The seeds grew great and I now have dozens of chrysanthemums ready to be planted in the garden beds.
