Great Movie
Great war movie from the 1950's telling a story based around the exploits of a US WW1 Destroyer used by the Royal Navy. Thinly disguised account of the raid on St Nazaire in March 1942 when a similar WW1 destroyer was used to block the Normandie Dock putting it out of action until the end of the war.Great group of British movie actors from the period and the inclusion of an obligatory american actor, Sonny Tufts.

A Gift Horse
The Gift Horse is not a particularly good plot or particularly well acted but a young child with a love of horses may possibly find it entertaining.

A great WW2 film
Another film added to my collection. Quality is great for the time and being transferred to DVD.

Bases for destroyers
Excellent 1952 film set on one of the "bases for destroyers" ships. The film is by turns funny, exciting and sad. This Vintage Classics version has good sound and picture, and also has optional subtitles. Without giving the plot away, the story ends with a bang!

Underrated Classic
I have this film on DVD ages ago now, When I saw this was out on Blu-ray I thought grab this asap the picture is very clear better than DVD as it should be the acting is very good The Gift Horse is a every bit as good as "The Cruel Sea" which I also have [Blu-ray] both made around the same time 1952 so if you like war films made around this time then grab this if you have not seen it you wont be disappointed!
