HQRP 3500mAh Extended Battery Works with iROBOT Scooba 330/350 / 380/390 / 590/5806 / 5910/5920 / 5940/5950 / 34001 Series APS 14904 Replacement

It no longer holds a charge after using it only three times and purchasing it just over a month ago.Edit: I contacted the company in regards to the faulty battery and they sent me a new one very quickly. So far so good on the new one. If anything changes I’ll post back.

I needed a replacement for my Roomba battery. This wasn't it. Sure, it fit. Sure, it charged up a couple of times. Then it wouldn't charge. Trash. Not three months of life.

When I received my first battery, I was very disappointed. It didn't "click" into place properly like the original battery. I ran it the first time and it only ran for about 25 minutes. I thought it might be a first use issue, but I tried 3 more times and Scooba would never run for more than 30 minutes. That was very disappointing for a new battery. I called Amazon; customer service was great and they sent out a new battery immediately. The new battery is much better. It runs for well over an hour (I haven't paid really close attention, but I think it's around 75 minutes), which is significantly longer than my original Scooba 330 battery. It still doesn't lock into position as well as the original battery. Sometimes the battery falls out if you turn Scooba upside down to clean it, but it certainly seems to charge and run well.

My dear, long-time friend and man servant Scooba's battery began loosing it's ability to stay charged until he was only able to work for less than 5 minutes causing him to sadly, became unemployed. I missed his beautiful gray-blue self dancing across my floors humming his soothing motor tune until all was clean and smelling of his Scooba Juice scent.He has always done such a good job and worked so hard that I've always felt that the very least I could do for him was find him a new battery and get him back on the job.The original equipment batteries sold by I-robot receive terrible ratings for endurance and functionality so I continued in my quest to find a replacement battery and landed on Amazon and the HQEP battery.YIPPEE!! This battery is great, doesn't take long to charge and has Scooba working for longer periods of time than ever. When he was new he'd run for about an hour's time per charge and with the new HQRP Extended Battery he runs for just over 90 minutes per charge.Scooba is now back to feeling like the sassy man-self he was when he was the new robot guy in the house.

On the first use of this battery my Scooba ran for 1 hr 50 min = 110 min!I find this impressive, even for a new battery. It also looked like the Scooba was snappier than usual, at least during the first 1 hr of cleaning.I have used other Scooba "replacement" batteries. For example, my results with a battery made by Metapo were very depressing. Metapo costs less, so in this case the extra $$$ spent on this HQRP battery are well worth it.Of course you could pay even more $$$ and get original iRobot battery, but I do not think it will worth it. The one iRobot sent me as a replacement nearly 2 years ago is still good, but I noticed that Amazon reviews for iRobot OEM battery are very poor. Maybe they started making cheaper ones in the last couple of years to increase their margins.

Excellent replacement battery! I get 2 full cycles out of one charge!! Has brought my beloved scooba back to life!

This battery works like a charm. The only difference I've noted with the original battery is this one often falls out when I turn the Scooba over when cleaning it after use. No problem, as it snaps right back in. The Scooba works far longer than it ever did when brand new -- it runs so long that it usually runs out of clean water three times while in use. It does my kitchen, dining room and half bath and has running time left over. Love, love, love this battery. Scooba batteries are much more expensive and get terrible reviews. Try this one!

I have the original Scooba 5800 and have 3 dead blue OEM batteries. I haven’t used it for maybe 5 years because of this since I didn’t want to spend more money on another OEM battery. I saw and took a chance, and I’ve been using this Scooba again once per week since I got the battery.
