I bought this radio for 3 main reasons.1. To listen to on a night.2.For its short wave capabilities3.Because it was cheap.Now just because it is cheap doesnt mean that its rubbish. Infact, its far from it.The build quality is superb.Despite its size, (its tiny and will fit into most pockets with ease), the sound quality is fantastic and is quite loud. So if you are buying it to use in a quiet environment, you should probably use some earphones.I highly recommend this little radio.

The media could not be loaded. Wow, great retro look, great retro sound. I've found my perfect pottering about the house and garden buddy in this little radio. Everything feels solid and well put together, it's easy to tune and the volume is pleanty load enough. If you want a small anologue radio that won't let you down, I'd recommend this one wholeheartedly. Some of the reviews were a bit negative, but I'm glad I followed my instincts and went for it, honestly, the sound is good and the battery cover is in no way loose on my model. This radio is ace, well worth the money.

Surprisingly loud. Not the best sound quality in the world, naturally, but still pretty good. Batteries seem to last ages. Easy to use. If you're looking for a small, decently loud pocket radio then at this price you can't go wrong.

This is a fantastic wee radio with a retro feel to it, got the dark grey color that gave it a classic look of simplicity. IMPORTANT- Get the FM/ SW external antenna box . Makes a difference, love the size, not too bulky, takes 2 AA batteries, reception FM is awesome, SW, is better at night, tuning is good, handy to have in case of power cut or phones offline. It’s more relaxing actually to listen to a radio that’s not an iPhone app, a wee red light indicates power on, has a headphone jack, that is very important for me, overall a great wee radio, hope it stands the test of time

OK for a cheap radio, would have appreciated an SMA antenna port too, but I guess you can't have everything. Not wildly sensitive indoors, has a bit of noise on all SW stations that it can pick up.

Nothing to dislike at all. Pleasantly surprised to find a compact radio with decent build quality and above average finish for a very modest cost. FM works very well often without needing the telescopic aerial. Good clean sound quality. Not much going on on short wave but it was fun tuning in. Uses 2 x AA and has a power on LED, and I liked the separate on-off switch. Also there's a tilt prop stand built in. To use it with external power, you will need a USB mains adaptor or powerbank, and a USB to DC plug lead, size either 3.5mm x 1.35mm or 4.0 x 1.7mm worked when I tried them out. Can't go wrong for the money, recommended.

Very pleased with this radio. It's small,13cm x 7.5cm but the volume on it is amazing. It has an arial but I have found that it tunes in to many stations without having to use it and there is no interference. It takes 2 aa batteries which are easy to fit. It also has a connection for headphones and if you really wanted to use one, a connection for a 5v mains current. I think it is excellent value for money
