Really useful flavouring
I would be lost without these in my store cupboard, Any recipe requiring lemon rind to cook in sauces /rice etc just pop one of these in while cooking instead. Take it out at the end and hey presto a lovely flavour/aroma. They work especially well placed in the cavity of chicken/turkey when roasting.One word of warning, depending on the supplier used you may find the product will have a widely variable best before end date - with one supplier the shelf life was 8 months, the last one was only 3 months....

Good Value
Good quality. Well flavoured and a good price. I'm certainly not going to bother dehydrating limes when these are so easily available. Do remember though, that less is more. I have found that with most recipes, it is better to use half the quantity specified.

Tasty unusual ingredient
I bought these to cook khoresh-e-gheymeh, a Persian dried lime, lamb and split pea stew from a recipe in the book Persiana by Sabrina Ghayourhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Persiana-Recipes-Middle-East-Beyond/dp/184533910X/ref=pd_cp_grocery_0I had fun getting people to try to guess what they were, as they look nothing like limes.The idea is you pierce them with a fork then add them to the stew. As they cook they release a beautiful lime flavour and aroma. The finished dish has very subtle flavours, and the limes are soft and edible.I really enjoyed them, and will be on the lookout for more great recipes that utilize them

Good product
Never used dried limes before, but the taste imparted, although OK, wasn't quite as characteristic as I expected.

Well worth the money
At first I thought these dried limes were a little expensive but once I cooked an 'Oti' potato dish with dried limes I'm so pleased I got them. The taste was amazing!! Plan to experiment and use them with lamb and duck dishes. Well worth having a packet in your store cupboard and also search for 'potatoes with dried lime' on Google. Yum, yum, yum!

These tasted delicious
There was not many in the packet and they were smaller and harder than expected. Nonetheless the taste was lovely and because of that my son went home after the half term visit with two out of the three packets. Oh and thanks for the speedy delivery.
