Great for varnishing acrylic painting on wood
I've tried this on wood & glass. On acrylic painting on wood it is great, it gives a nice shine after 3 thin coats. It dries really quickly between coats and doesn't smudge the paint underneath (some spray varnishes I've tried do). It's waterproof and the items I've painted have been fine outside in the rain. I've put 2 pictures to show what the varnish looks like on wood but the same bottle has gone a long way and has coated lots of windchimes, wood slices, bird houses, big houses etc. It's lasted much longer than I expected it too as the bottle seems comparatively small compared to a spray varnish. It does dry on glass and protect the painting but if there is any clear glass left showing then you can clearly see the brush marks or ridges in it (I didn't like the finish when using a sponge either). I have recently seen a video of someone varnishing by rubbing varnish on with their hands onto glass, it wasn't this brand but I'm going to try it to see if it works any better, although I'm skeptical it'll be as nice a finish as I want and will probably just keep using it for any wood items I paint.

great quality varnish
Varnishing is tricky and requires a decent purpose made varnishing brush for best results (in my opinion). Good lighting is ESSENTIAL, ideally a strip light within 6 inches of the canvas/plywood so nothing is missed. Practice makes it easier. I always dilute between 10-15% H2O (bottled, not tap water). 3 to 4 coats of Liquitex High Gloss will give a glass finish once a good technique has been mastered. It gives great protection and protects from UV sunlight. Unfortunately it is not cheap and 1-2 coats doesn't usually give the required finish. I do recommend this product because of its amazing finish.

Good product, does what it says
The media could not be loaded. A good varnish, makes my mini paintings look nice and satiny, not overly glossy. I applied two coats to the image in the photos/video. It advises 3 hours drying time between each coat. The photos of the item look deceiving (like most product photos), always check the size in the description. I made the mistake of assuming it was the same size as the W&N varnish I see in The Range, same shape bottle. It's not, it's smaller than the W&N and therefore a little pricier in respect to the amount. When this is used I'll definitely try the W&N brand. However I've always like Liquitex, their products are good quality. Can't say any different about this one.

Best I have used
I've used various forms of resin to gloss my pebble art, this if the best I've ever used, no mixing, easy to apply and gives a great gloss result, it also goes a long way, no harmful smells, washes off easily if you get it on your hands, can't praise it enough.

Much more than expected
Bottle is small, but it's so fluid you'll end up not using as much as you think - 118ml is perfect for 20-30 paintings which is perfect, and great for the price.

Exactly as described with a gorgeous high gloss finish to rival resin
Unable to find a varnish that gives the high shine and brings out the depth of colour I wanted I resorted to resin - which can be very expensive - especially if bubbles or dust settles and you need to apply another coat. This was recommended and I am thrilled with the results. I even applied it with a brush and it looks great. I'll still use resin for some pieces - but WOW - this is going to save me a fortune.
