A masterpiece!! As an avid collector of idioms and slang dictionaries, I must say this is ;by far the most comprehensive idioms and slang dictionaries I have seen.However how come you did not include the idiom PLAY A BLINDER (to play exceptionally well- British informal).Arieh Golan

a good reference. slang & idioms dictionaries (phrasal verbs too) are a invaluable resource for non-native speakers. translation of literary texts (and lyrics) is helped by this wonderful dictionary.

Just wish there were more “origins”

This is a must for writers. You can build a character with odd idioms and slang. loved it.

I always loved looking up idioms and slang phrases, so it's no wonder I enjoy browsing through this book.

I purchased it on my Kindle. I thought by the way I did my search that this would be a dictionary that would pop up as an option when looking something up while I was reading. But that was not the case. You have to close your book and then open up the dictionary. This sort of defeats the purpose of my purchase so hardly ever use it.

Might prove to be a bit dry but I already feel it is a nice,serious tool.
