Fun project. Mine doesn't play smoothly, I probably made the gears too tight. Still looks good on a shelf. Pay close attention to the metal rods, I used the wrong length during one step and was pretty far along before I realized the mistake. The instructions do a good job of giving tips on some of the trickier parts. Be delicate with the double-sided tape, try not to touch and get it stuck to your finger, it'll just curl up into a mess. I really enjoyed the quality and how the tools are included, just a nice self-contained project.

I bought this as a gift for my 16yr old daughter who loves music (especially string instruments) and putting together advanced lego sets. She loved this! The finished product looks great and detailed, and it doesn't look like flimsy junk. From what I observed is that as she was putting it together, there are several tiny pieces and tools, so you need to be patient and careful. I remember looking at the instructions, and at first quick glance, they looked complicated to me.... but she completed it in afew hours without any struggles or complaints. (Not sure if I would have!). The finished product is a great piece, and I didn't realize it was actually a working wind-up music piece as well. However, it is not a toy, and would not recommend this for much younger children.I do plan on buying a few more of these in the future as gifts though.

The media could not be loaded. I LOVE this! It was my first time ever putting together a model anything. I cannot for the life of me put bookshelves or furniture together so I was nervous being that it's rated 4/5 skill level but the instructions were very clear and easy to understand. This definitely took me a lot longer than the 4hrs it suggests but I made sure to take my time.Midway it has you do a test run with the gears and they didn't really rotate on their own so I was worried it wouldn't work in the end but was happy to at least finish putting it together as it's a beautiful decoration. However when it was done, it took a few tries to get it to work on its own (It does say the wax needs to work through the gears) but it works beautifully!I was so proud that I cried a bit as it played through. I love it very much, it looks beautiful on my bookshelf (Sorry I didn't have a picture of that) and I've gotten so many compliments on it.I already bought the Magic Piano to put together next!

This was my first rokr puzzle kit and it is incredibly intricate and requires a lot of patience. I really appreciated the detailed instructions and how they put exclamation points where the pieces are the most fragile and yes I did break a couple of pieces but there were extras. They also tell you exactly where to wax the gears which is appreciated but given the size of the stick of wax it's a bit difficult to get into the crevices of the gears if you're like me and concerned if you've used enough. I recommend using a small birthday candle or something along those lines because it'll fit easier. I didn't have any issues with the bow it moved as intended when i tested it out before I assembled the base. Overall I would most certainly buy another cello kit or even the piano kit as my next rokr adventure.

The media could not be loaded. Very tough build. Not for beginners. There is no room for error on this one. Especially with the small pieces. Almost gave up a few times and had to take a 2-3 week break from building because of hand pain. Good overall but wouldn’t recommend for beginners. final music box to instrument piece was a bit weird to fix. It keeps coming off. Have to operate delicately

Great gift for someone that enjoys crafts, the finished build is pretty solid and the mechanism doesnt have that many quirks however i have noticed at some points it can get stuck on the bow's horizontal movement so watch out for thatwhile it doesnt need glue i recommend adding some to the book pieces as they tend to bend slightly when winding-up the music box

I sent this as a gift from my niece. I absolutely loves it. Always happy to get puzzles from this company. I'm still working on my motorcycle, but it's really fun.Five out of five would definitely get another puzzle.Soon.

Extremely well made! They should get 10 stars. A number of extra parts in case you break one of the fragile ones. I needed them for the cello body. Very fragile and break easy.BUT a good idea I'd forgotten about. Woodworkers steam wood to make it easier to bend without breaking. I have a humidifier putting out a lot of mist. Held the body side in the mist for a few moments. Made it very easy to bend without breaking.Did have a bit of trouble with gears binding, but this was the first model from them and it was not there fault. Was so impressed with the quality and very clear instructions.
