Easy and fun learning for the kids
Only thing that would make it better is a little more range for problems, but it matches exactly what they're currently expected to know and he loves playing the game while he learns.

My third graders love this!
Awesome product for motivating my students to memorize their multiplication facts! Every Friday we have what I call “tournament.” I put the children in groups of four, I give them this device, and they get two tries to get a top score. The top score gets a prize. If I forget to do tournament on Fridays oh man do they remind me! Lol. “When are we going to do tournament?!” And two of my students bought this product to use at home. Wonderful, wonderful device! The kids love it!

Good but could be better!
This is a great tool for practicing multiplication facts. I especially like how you can specify which problems to work on. So if your student was just learning the tables for 2, 5, and 10, you can just set it to have those problems.I did not get a user manual in my package which would be helpful. One thing I wish is that you could turn off the timer for each individual problem. You can remove the 60 second timer to practice unlimited problems. What are you cannot do, however, is remove the timer for each individual problem. So you only have a few seconds to answer each problem, which is a bummer for students who are just a little bit slower and learning.

Read the directions
My kid is in 2nd grade and he loves this. It has two levels. You can specify which number you would like to practice. For example, you pick “3” and practice multiplying by 3. You can turn the sound off or on. And you can turn the timer, “quiz” function off and kids can practice all the multiplication facts they want without having the pressure of a 60 second timer. I’m not sure why there are bad reviews. Maybe people didn’t read the directions? We got the Amazon warehouse deal. ;)

Learning multiplication's
I got this to help me with learning my multiplication table better. When I got it; it was much smaller than I thought, the buttons are a lot smaller than I thought. The picture on Amazon was deceiving. I'll like it better when I get more used to it I'm hoping. It was a good price. The colors and sound is excellent !!!

Read the directions.
The negative reviews are primarily from people not reading the directions that come with the game. Level one you press the number of the fact family you want to work on and press enter. (If you want to work on multiple fact families you repeat that step for each number. ) press enter again and it will start.I also tried to use it right out of the box thinking it was busted. This is a great tool!My soon to be third grader loves this and we’ve been playing with it to for practice

Would have been great if it worked more than 20 minutes
Unit quit working after about 20 minutes. We took out the brand new batteries and reinstalled and it just mad a load whining noise. Returned and got another. Pretty much the same result with the second one. We found it you turned the volume off it would work a little while longer. But not volume kind of defeated the purpose of the whole toy. You could hear positive tone when correct and negative when not correct. Would have been worth it if it worked; may daughter liked it and was excited about it.

Good purchase
My 9 year old was having problems with mastering her times tables. We did a number of computer apps. Many were good, but didn't provide my daughter with the motivation or portability she/we needed. This is a good old fashions digital game that you can easily take in the car or any where. She thinks it is fun. She plays with this way more than the computer math apps. I wish this also had division on it, but even without that, I highly recommend. I also bought the Educational Insights Math Whiz because that had the division (plus addition and subtraction). That one is okay too, but my daughter likes the Multiplication Master best because of the screen size.
