These are great - no need to pay more. The rubber grips slide a little but you just push them back into place.

I have had a number of products over the years from Xuron and bought these for a specific job based on that experience and they have not let me down as usual. Had a number of cheap chinese knocks off's given me to try as well that have never survived more then a few hours. Well worth the money in my view.

Xuron are the absolute best. If, like me, you make jewellery/accessories for work and do so for hours a day, then you’ll benefit hugely from, not only the accuracy but the cushioned comfort grips, which are like no other tools I’ve used. I’ve bought Tronex at twice the price and been disappointed, whereas every single type of Xuron (and I’ve got about 8 different pairs) I’ve bought have been phenomenal.These pliers are not for heavy work, mind, they’re ideal for small, light work, perfectly strong enough for most wire wrapping but you certainly wouldn’t want to use them on stuff like memory wire. This particular design is perfect for finishing awkward wire wraps - I pair them with the Xuron combination pliers (the ones with the green grips and the single greatest tool I own!) and I’ve saved so much time, these tiny tips can get into the most awkward places, allowing you to squish hard-to-reach ends in moments. Treat yourself and you’ll suddenly find yourself smiling as you work!

Excellent quality American made pliers. Superb for electronics, jewellery, or any other delicate work. Should last a lifetime.

At first glance they don't seem to be finished as well as better tools by Lindtrom etc., but they are fished well where it counts. And that goes for the other tools in the range too. The jaws are really precise and ideal for delicate precision manipulation of surface mount components or fine wire, fishing fly construction, bending electronic component legs etc. They're even ideal for precision 'plucking'. I would not risk using these for heavy work because they are just so nice for lighter stuff. My tool of choice for electronics.
