Reliable, customisable, and perfect for short trips away
This is a fantastic little device that has quickly become a must-have for my aquariums. I’ve been using a very similar model already, and bought a second one for my second tank since I’ll be away for a week. The Petbank feeder does exactly what I need — it lets me set up to three feeding times per day, and I can choose how many food compartments it dispenses each time (1, 2, or 3).The 16-grid food storage is a clever design — I like that it offers good portion control and allows me to pre-load several days' worth of food without worrying. The fact that the opening closes after each feeding is especially helpful, as it keeps the food dry and avoids any clumping or blockages.Setup was simple, and I appreciate the option of using either the clamp or the suction mount, depending on the tank. The built-in battery is another bonus — no need to constantly replace batteries, and it charges quickly via USB-C.Overall, it's a reliable, well-thought-out feeder that gives real peace of mind when you're away from home. Highly recommended!

Vacation Made Simple with the Petbank Automatic Fish Feeder.
I recently picked up the Petbank Automatic Fish Feeder when my family and I went away on holiday, and I have to say, it was a lifesaver for keeping our fish fed without needing to rope in a neighbor. Setting it up was a breeze - it took just a few minutes to figure out the timer and get it mounted on the tank. The instructions were clear, and I didn’t need to fiddle with it much to get it running. We were gone for four days, and it worked really well overall. The feeder dispensed food right on schedule (although I wasn't there to see), which gave us peace of mind while we were away. One thing, though: the manual says not to use flake food, only pellets, but we went ahead and loaded it with flakes anyway since that’s what our fish usually eat. Most of the flakes came out fine, though a few did get stuck in the mechanism. It wasn’t a big deal - just a little clogging here and there - but I can see why they recommend pellets for smoother operation. All in all, it’s a solid little gadget. It did exactly what we needed it to do, and our fish were happy and swimming when we got back. I’d definitely use it again for our next trip!

Fantastic bit of kit
This worked brilliantly while I was away on a 2 week holiday. It clips easily to the top of the tank and is very easy to set up. I just ensured it was fully charged before I went away. I didn’t use flakes but did use freeze dried daphnia, blood worms and pellets and it was all ok. When I came back all of the food was gone and all of my fish were still healthy so it was a great purchase!

Poor quality , stopped working after a couple of days
Worked for 3 days , then just stopped delivering timed feeds ( whilst I was away for 4 days - thankfully hundreds of pounds of my fish survived whilst I was away. Reset the device ( same settings ) , it ran for 2 days this time , then stopped again. Manual feed works fine , but what's the point of an automatic fish feeder you have to press a button for. Absolute waste of money.

Robust and reliable - total control of each feed.
I'm allergic to gadgets and plastic rubbish, and binned my last auto-feeder (it was one of those rotating big drum things with all the food in one dispenser). I like to buy stuff made in UK or EU or US. However I took a punt and I bought 2 of these Petbank ones a year ago and they are impressive. You dose each feed in a separate hopper, so you know exactly how much each feed will be. They are robust and well designed - no damp food, and electronics that work. A nice solid feel when using and positioning the feeder. You do need to get creative to leave a gap in cover glasses where the feeders outdoor is positioned on the bottom of the feeder (strategically placed plastic document wallets do the trick!). I would recommend these. If youve got big fish, youll struggle to get many large pellets or tablets in each hopper.

Need consideration if you’re using for flakes
Pro: Easy to set a schedule and rechargeable.Schedule is really flexible and allows you to feed up to three compartments worth of food, up to three times a day, and the ability to trigger the feed every day or few days.Con: The seal around the food compartment isn’t air tight. Because of how you would place this on a tank, it is very close to moisture. If you’re feeding dry flakes, I found that because moisture gets into the feeding compartment, the flakes were no longer dry, got stuck and didn’t fall out of the bottom. I have cat fish and feed them pellets so tried putting that on top as a weight but the flakes kept clogging up and not releasing.I think this wouldn’t be a problem if you’re using it for only a few days but more than a week, you’ll likely have trouble, especially if you have a heated tank.
