We've used a few different cones in the past - plastic & fabric. Got so lucky picking this one for an emergency issue. It's durable & tough but soft and wearable at the same time. We used an XL for my rottweiler, but it's not so ridiculously wide. It hugged her head and did the trick without the huge satellite effect. If she brushed through a doorway, it gave way without breaking her neck or falling apart. A good combo of adjustable sizes and 3 clips from the head to the edge. It's easy to clean too. Soaked it in water with soap, rinse & hang to dry. Good as new! I was afraid to put it in the washing machine in case it would ruin the sturdiness of the cone itself. I washed it and stored it. I have never kept any other cones - they were not worth keeping.

My dog had surgery and needs to wear a cone for two weeks. The plastic cone from the vet was causing major issues for eating and drinking, etc. I found this and it is PERFECT! I measured her neck and length to snout and this was ideal, long enough to keep her from licking, but not too long to impede eating and drinking. To make everything even better, the top folds back, which is perfect for eating and walking outside (so she can sniff around, as dogs like to do, and see peripherally). It's much easier for her to sleep in, it has a little cushion to it and it's more flexible than the stiff plastic cone, so she's finally able to get good rest. This cone seems more streamline too, like it's not catching on stuff as much when she walks around. Also, my dog is terrified of velcro and this cone has snap buttons!! Thank you thank you thank you! It was hard to find a cone without velcro!The ONLY drawbacks are:my dog has a beard, and when she drinks, the beard drips, so the cone gets wet and I can't wipe it all off like the plastic one. But, that's very minor.and it is opaque, she can't see through the sides, but she has gotten used to this. She walks a little slower, more cautiously. And when we go outside, I fold it back so she can see.I wish I'd had this when I picked her up after surgery. I feel awful that she had that terrible cone the first day! But we got this delivered the next day and although she still hates wearing it, she has adjusted to this one much better and is a lot more comfy. THANK YOU!

This made my little guy look like a flower, it was perfect, adjustable and kept him from hurting himself after surgery. He was also able to eat and drink with the collar on. My dog is 20lb lapso aspso, he looked like a little flower. Sturdy, and soft at the same time.

Our recent foster fail required a cone after his neuter. This distracted him only by giving him something the chew on for a minute or two. He was fully able to reach his incision. I wanted it to be a more comfortable solution for him, but had to put him back in the cone of shame.

This is more comfortable than plastic ones but it allows my Doberman to reach areas that I want her not to lick

I typically don’t write reviews but this one I had to. My dog had his neutering surgery, and I got this cone. It took a few hours to adjust to it but for two weeks he absolutely loved wearing it! I washed it twice and it dries perfectly in a dryer on low. Durability is great and it’s so comfortable for him because of how soft it is! Great design !!! Thank you!

I really liked the soft cone but second time using it a snap broke. Still usable but now I’m worried it will not last long.

My dog not happy with the process. But nice snug fit, pleasant material. And no problem with eating, drinking, sniffing and getting attention. AND no more licking her paw, which was the reason for the purchase.
