Hangar 9 UltraCote Lite Transparent White HANU965 Airplane Covering

I always use this brand of covering. Translucent white make the sun shine through and make my wing easy to spot high in the sky. Very easy to install and wrinkles or folds pull out nicely.

Not a true transparent, like the other Ultracote Lite transparent colors, but a pleasant translucent. I have found no other covering available that offers a similar look. It is light, strong and easy to use. Some care must be taken, however, to keep it's adhesive side from folding over and touching itself. This can cause it to become instantly stuck together. It is more of a problem in hot weather, often you can separate it, sometimes the piece is a write-off. Some colors seem to be more prone to this.

I liked how easy it was to separate from the backing, Solite takes two pieces of tape to pull them apart, this only takes a bit of work by hand. I didn't like the way it didn't shrink as much, requiring some pieces to get a redo, but it works and looks nice, you just need to be sure to get it as tight as possible prior to shrinking.

This was my first airplane wing that I have done and it came out really good. I will buy more of this!

This is the exact covering used on the Hobbyking mini D.L.G., anyone with experience with conventional covering will find this lightweight covering easy to use. Use at moderate temperature settings, goes around curves & corners well, excellent shrink rate.

Like the way UltraCote Lite goes on but disappointed with the transparent white. I ordered the transparent purple also and I can easily see through the wing from top to bottom. With the white, I can see detail of the structure it is bonded to but that is all. It is nowhere near as transparent as the purple. I would call it semi-transparent.
