The media could not be loaded.  TDS comes calibrated, ph one does need calibration but with supplied reagents and clear instructions makes it easy! Another fine product by my friends at MarsHydro.

Was very excited to try out my new meters so was very disappointed after just opening the box and seeing that the meters have already been used. This is unacceptable. Upon further inspection I have also noticed that when you switch in the TDS meter it's on °C then I select °F when you then switch it off and back on its on °C again, it's supposed to stay on °F then also some dry crystallized substance on the PH meter which I presume is PH probe storage solution. So there is no other conclusion than this was obviously a defected item that was sent back by a customer and then the seller just conveniently re sealed the package and just sold it to the next customer.

Unlike my other TDS meter, this one was reading almost double my old one until I calibrated it with the solution that was provided in the packet. I'm not sure why it was so far of (2158ppm compare to actual 765ppm). After calibration it did get closer. The pH meter was reading about .2 higher than my chemical tests, so I think that is acceptable for pool chemistries. Over all it is a nice set, but don't trust it until you calibrate it. I just hope the calibration holds! This is an "OK" HYDRO TDS and pH Meter Combo for the price.

Easy to calibrate and works as advertised!

This product worked for a whole month or two before going all out of whack. Tried to recalibrate and kept giving me different readings than what the calibration solution was and should have been

PH meter works great out of the box. Removed the battery tab and it turned on immediately. Love that it has a backlight. It shows the water temperature in C and F. The instructions for calibration are not very specific as to whether it should be calibrated before the first use so I took a chance and just used it. My pool ph has been reading high after a new pool plaster so when this device returned a reading of 6.6, I was skeptical. To verify the reading, I performed a standard pool PH drop test. It returned a reading of 6.8. So this device is definitely producing a reliable enough reading for my needs.I also like the design of this meter, which reduces the likelihood that you will inadvertently submerge the entire meter in the water. It comes with an extra set of batteries too.Overall, I found the PH Meter reliable and I have tossed it in my pool test kit for continued use.
