Recently started experimenting with semi hydroponics using leca and the results are amazing. Same variety of plant (tested on arrowhead) showing better growth in leca as compared to soil. And i have also started adding leca balls as bottom layer atleast 3-4 inch for all my soil pots.So go ahead and get this.

Clay pebbles with charcoal inside, floats in net basket.
Clay pebbles need to be washed before use to eliminate the manufacturing residues and dust. Very light and floats in water, so not useful if using for DWC. Otherwise, it works fine.
