Does the job
I chose these because all I wanted was a simple, inexpensive lap counter for my bike. I ride 6 mile loops around my neighborhood and as I'm looking, thinking or listening I often lose count. Purchase includes two and they are cheap enough that if one flies off or breaks it's not a big deal. Just know they are simplistic counters and nothing more. Press the large button to increment, press the small button to reset. There's no option to decrease count. To save battery, the unit times-out after about 3 minutes of no button presses, but remembers the lap you're on. You'll need to press the increment button to wake it up, then press the increment button again to add an increment if your counts/laps are approxmiately 3 or more minutes apart. It's easy to use without distracting me as I'm riding - just a press with my thumb to wake it and another press to increment as I pass my lap point (I keep it near my thumb-operated gear shift lever). I've been using it daily for about a month and it meets my needs just fine. I see these have multiple uses and would work on a finger or arm when running, etc.NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions.

Finger Counter for All Counting Needs
he 5-pack Finger Counter featuring a digital clicker design is a practical tool tailored for a variety of counting tasks, including knitting, tallying, and keeping score during events. Each counter in the pack comes equipped with an LED electronic LCD display, enhancing visibility and ease of reading. The compact size allows for effortless operation as the device fits snugly on the finger, providing a comfortable user experience for extended periods.Functionality and Features: These finger counters are designed to be versatile. They are ideal for knitters and crocheters who need to keep track of stitches or rows, educators managing class participation, event coordinators tallying attendance, and even businesses keeping inventory. Each counter has resettable digits and a range that accommodates extensive counting needs without losing accuracy.Ease of Use and Performance: The digital clicker is straightforward to operate with buttons that are responsive and easy to press. This responsiveness ensures accurate counting without any lag, which is crucial during fast-paced activities. The LCD display is clear, and the inclusion of a backlight would have been beneficial for low-light conditions, though it's not a deal-breaker.Durability and Build Quality: The counters are made from a lightweight plastic that is durable enough for everyday use. They hold up well against general wear and tear, although their lightweight nature might suggest otherwise. They are not waterproof, so care should be taken during outdoor use or near liquids.Portability and Storage: Each counter is small and lightweight, fitting easily into a pocket, purse, or toolkit without taking up much space. This portability makes them perfect for on-the-go activities. They come in a pack of five, which is great for users who need multiple devices at once or as backups.

Work as they should and cost effective
If you need to count and pay attention to other things at the same time this is what you need. Adjustable and finger activated. The folks I ordered them for just loved them.

Too Cumbersome for Handwork
Much too cumbersome for handwork. Very bulky and got in the way of the yarn. The counter twisted around my finger as I tried to crochet. Easier just to use a small "knitting counter" with a thread through the hole, tied at the end, and clipped with an binder clip to the instructions! Thought these counters might work as well as the $30+ ring counters, but alas, this was not the case. Also, if you have a set pattern of a few rows, you have to reset it each time the pattern starts again. Colors were nice, but the quality of the "ring" portion was lacking.
