Great gloves for catching spiny lobster, they really protect my hands.

I only weight 102 lbs and purchased size medium which fit perfectly. If I had ordered small the gloves would have been really tight. Happy with quality but in my opinion order 1 size up. Would buy again.

I love these gloves. I use them for pike and not only do they grip very well, nothing has been able to bite through yet. One of the best purchases of the summer! Thank you!

These gloves seem like they are made quite well to do their job! It will be a while before I have a chance to try with any spiny lobsters, but I fully intend to try that.As delivered, they definitely will work for lobster diving or similar activates where sharp, pokey things want to drive themselves into your hands.That said, I do have some reservations. If you've done more than a few days of diving in a row, you know that gear gets taken off and pulled back on over and over and it can absolutely wear stuff down. The seems in particular on these seem like they will wear down and maybe start to tear somewhat fast. If those can last, then I think these gloves can last a good while!

Awesome gloves!!Fits a little smaller so a XL fits like a loose fitting large.

These gloves ar not bit proof. The crab tore a hole in glove and a bit my hand. It bleed for a quite a while and was very sore for days. I DO NOT recommend buying this product.

Very tough cloves. Been catching a lot of pike lately while trying to catch bass and lake trout due to a stocking program a few lakes upstream from ours. I am not a fan of dealing with slimy, toothy, gator rolling demon fish. These cut resistant gloves with their rubber coating for grip are perfect for handling northern pike. The gloves do fit snug for their size. I ordered the XL because that is my glove size at work and these are a slim fit. Still easy to get on and off though. I did some experimenting with a pocket knife and these gloves offer pretty good protection against sharp objects but I do think a fish hook would still get you if you were not careful. The clip that comes with the gloves is perfect for keeping them secure and accessible on the boat. While there are coated, cut resistant gloves available for less I believe that the current $40 price is fair for the level of protection these ones offer.

The media could not be loaded.  While I fish on occasion, my main motivation for getting these gloves is thorn and wild raspberry bushes that have infiltrated my country property. After clipping, dragging and chipping for an hour wearing a variety of work gloves, my hands and wrists looked like they’d been in a cat fight.First impressions: these diving/lobstering gloves are substantial in every way; the “armour” on the top of each finger and the back of the hand inspires confidence, so much so that I took a shish-kebab skewer and at first gently, and then vigorously, jabbed away at my gloved hand. Surprise, surprise: no cuts, no blood, no pain. The under side is not puncture proof, however, but the textured surface is great for holding on to brush for cutting; just don’t drive a thorn (or a fish spine for that matter) through the palm of the glove.The gloves feel a little stiff but fit well. I also appreciated the finger tips being a little longer than my fingers, thereby reducing the chances of getting pricked. The materials used in their construction also offer some water resistance and insulation from the cold, characteristics I will appreciate more and more as the cold and wet of late fall descend upon us.Recommendation: I like these gloves so much that I think another pair will be given as a gift to our scuba diving son. 5 out of 5.

A tough glove wish there was an XL-size

I got these for pruning rose bushes, but rose thorns go throught them like paper. I think my skin has a bit more puncture resistance than these, and I found that my old leather mechanix gloves protect me better. Use caution if handling sharp objects with these gloves.
