After using a cheap string winder meant for guitar, the MusicNomad string winder is amazing.Smooth and silent as per the description, and a snug fit on the tuner buttons.Plenty of clearance whilst winding mandolin tuners makes for a quick string change.If you are daunted by the price, don't be. As it's worth every penny.

Was not sure whether to bother with a winder, but it is well worth it, saves time trying to wind up strings. Easy to use and seems well made.

Top quality peg winder, really smooth to use with a stepped holder so it fits different size and shape machine heads properly so it doesn’t slip off. So glad that I discovered Music Nomad kit, it’s the best kit I’ve used.
