What can you say about these that hasn't already been said?They are fantastic!! We tried to go down the route of balance bike and straight onto pedals with our son, but he was having none of it - so we bought these as they were recommended for use with a frog bike. I found there to be adequate tightness and a decent amount of thread available that I didn't worry about getting extension bolts, but I'm pretty sure if you wanted to go down that route, you would need some M6 x 30 bolts - although I'm sure I've got some of these hanging around, so its probably better to be safer than sorry and use them.EDIT - after a few days - I decided it's better to be safe rather than sorry, so I changed the existing bolts to a set of M6 x 30mm x 2 - I've kept the original bolts in a drawer to put back on when these stabilisers come off - which shouldn't be too long!This stabiliser set according to Frog, is suitable for the Frog44 and the Frog48.The little brackets that hold these stabilisers to the bike, are 'supposed' to be fitted with the 'anti turn' bit facing towards the front of the bike, as per the instructions supplied - but the instructions supplied by Frog, say to have it facing the rear of the bike - they are too tight to have them facing the front so follow the Frog instructions (Can be found on Frog official Youtube).Another point which differ between the Frog instructions and the official instructions - are that the official instructions suggest you should 'preload' the suspension by placing the stabilisers roughly 1/2" lower than the tyre, so when your child sits on the bike, their weight will allow the back wheel to touch the floor - according to the Frog Instructions, you should make sure the bike is vertical and have the back wheel and both stabilisers in contact with the floor. After trying the official instructions first - I concur that the Frog instructions are definitely the way to go - unless you want a wheel spinning back tyre and a child going nowhere!The best thing about these stabilisers, however odd it may sound, is I'm thinking that we won't need them for too long - as the amount of confidence they give our 3 year old is outstanding!! a few weeks ago he didn't want to go out on his pedal bike as he didn't have the confidence - now we can't keep him off it! He's even trying to shred some local trails with me! :) So even though these cost £20, and I'm hoping they aren't on for much longer - they really are VALUE FOR MONEY, for what you get out of them!One tiny downside, is that when putting the wheels together, there is a small clip that can be very tough to get on. The instructions say to 'push' it on - unless you have the strength of Hercules and fingers made of metal - you will need some sort of 'tool' to help you with this part. I used a small butter knife - it's not hard to push on - its just so thin, that you cannot use your fingers and you need something solid to push with - a thimble is another option, or pliers!Even with this slight issue - I'd give these a full 5 stars!Overall an absolutely FANTASTIC set of stabilisers, and the ones recommended by Frog themselves!Thanks for reading - if you found this helpful, please let me know by clicking below. :)

I have a 4-year old who is 20kg and he is cycling to school, just over 1km one way. The pavement is unforgiving and I've used two different stabilisers. The standard ones with an L-shaped bracket which everyone claims is 3mm thick just couldn't handle the forces being applied during the ride; the brackets would bend slightly and make the bike lop-sided. I had to push them into place every day or other day.We tested these today and they are solid. The great thing about them--the unique thing about them--is that they adjust up and down individually according to the evenness of the ground, so sloping pavements and potholes are no problem. This is truly a fantastic design as the rigidity of ordinary fixed stabilisers makes the bike topple on uneven ground (obviously, unlike free cyclists, kids using stabilisers can't really balance the bike).The wheels are nice and big, much bigger than standard, therefore, they're smoother when riding. The tyres are made from a good quality rubber.The brackets are a solid rod of steel and are pretty hard to bend, I didn't try it but I doubt if it could be done manually. This makes them ideal for a long hard slog into school!The only issue I had was that the wheels are secured into place by a small, thin, steel nut about the size of a penny, finished off with a plastic cap; this is not convincing but having tried these out for 2kms and they were fine. Also, installing them is a bit harder than the other stabilisers (instructions are OK but won't win any awards from Ikea) but can be done. You need to make sure you have the right rear wheels for these brackets.Overall a great product!!

Bought for a Frog48. Hint - Instructional video from frog shows that clips needs to face towards back wheel and instructions show to face inward toward bike. Onwards facing towards the front of bike worked and after an hour trying to get the chain tightening screw back on finally realised the instructions were right.It does come loose and would recommend getting the bolts that lengthen.Otherwise they are great. Took on rough terrain and didn’t wobble like would with normal stabilisers. Don’t think they will be on long as they do give confidence to take on anything.

These are so much better than the rigid type. As long as you take the time to set them up correctly the bike won’t rock side to side but they will allow a little movement.

Sad to say, but I think this product is poorly made, the wheel on one side continually falls off. Wheels are held on by a little metal clip and a red stopper, would not recommend to others

My daughter bought my grandson's first bike and thought he might learn to ride it first as a balance bike and then progress easily to pedalling, when she fitted the pedals. But sadly he had no concept of how to pedal until we fitted these - and now he races around like Mark Cavendish.

We bought a cheap set, they broke! Bought these and they are amazing quality and work really well in training the kids!Little tricky to fit as others have said however using needle nose pliers and pushing the ring on the job was done in 10 seconds.

if your child's bike has derailleur gears then these probably wont fit. other than that I cant comment on the product itself.
