This is one of the few products I stand 100% behind and more if I could. Let me tell you the truth. This product is still going strong after a year in a half. I bought my mom an echo 8 1st generation because each time I go to her house of course I take Alexa with me my echo 8 and she loves it. So I got another that was still available in good condition (probably upgraded and sold there old one back). Well it was in excellent condition. Okay back on this. the battery is amazing I watch TV Matlock 😂 reruns at night kind of bright too and it pulls all night and part of morning and doesn't die it never died after a year of doing this every night. Of course I fall asleep and it keeps playing through the night and in the morning it's not dead the alarm wakes me and I get up and charge it again. The housing saved me so many times I dropped it on concrete moving it with stuff and in the parking lot it dropped and some wiped it off and kept going. My daughter then drops it on concrete same place in parking lot and didn't crack nothing I was so surprised. The problem was the screw on one side got lose and needed to be tightened. I dropped it in house a couple of times cause the screw I just ripped it off 😆 cause I love this housing and that handle was tricky after using and moving it everywhere like my kid I take her on trips. I started looking for it for my mom's and they have others now but I don't want another I WANT THIS ONE 😂 finally after wording it differently I found it yippee. If you get this you won't be disappointed

I purchased this for my Echo 8 in January of 2022. It held up well for a little over 1-1/2 years. I work out in the yard alot and it was nice to be able to take it outside to play music while I was working. I have a fairly large yard and could spend 7 hours or more working in the yard. Once charged in the morning, it would pretty much last the entire day. Unfortunately after about 1 and a half years the battery just stopped working. Which was kind of disappointing because most of the time the unit just sat on the shelf in my living room. I don't know if it would have been better to disconnect the unit when I wasn't using it outside or if it would have made a difference remaining plugged in. Not sure if I will replace the unit or try another model. The battery life and the carry handle made this unit real convenient when working out in the yard and some might say that a 18 month battery life is not a bad deal. I don't know, but I just wanted to let you know my experience with this product.

I've never had an echo damaged while it was in the case. Although it's a strange materiel, it's proven strong enough to hold the rather heavy Echo Show.The battery lasts for a really long time, hours! It's a 3S2P made up name brand cells with BMS.(It is pretty easy to accidently pull the connector out far enough that it stops charging and will run on battery until it's exhausted.)There are no UL/CE markings on the battery case on any of mine. I didn't see anywhere on the device or documentation that states this battery has been tested and can be taken aboard commercial aircraft. (I would not take a battery onto aircraft without those markings.)Yes, there were issues with the camera lining up with some versions. (But the case can easily be trimmed with a pair of scissors.)It's been a great resource in hurricane prone Florida.

Love that i can now move the echo show 8 anywhere and does last the advertised hours on battery. Amazing!

I bought this battery base instead of the made for Amazon battery base because I liked the enclosed case and the carry handle. I thought this would be more convenient for portability. And it was absolutely portable. I unplugged it and picked it up and it was great. Until my echo show turned off after 5 minutes. I turned it back on. Four lights lit up to tell me the battery was fully charged. Started the music. Five minutes of playtime and it shut down again. Glad I tried to use it while I was still in my return period. It’s going back.

i have had this for 2 years and it still last every thing we put it though

This is my second one of these. The other one, by a different manufacturer, went completely dead after 2 years which isn't terrible. I just got this one a few days ago and I don't feel like I'm getting 9 hours of work time. I feel like I may have watched perhaps 4 or 5 episodes of a show, but now that I know what it claims to have in the way of "work time" I'm going to recharge it over night and keep track this time. I'll update the review then. Thanks! (P.S. - without one of these, my Echo would never get used - the boombox-ability of it is essential!)
